| OK guys Ive been working on these for about 2 weeks ts and hs. Every atempt I manage to knock she living stuff out of myself, so I can take about two atempts per set lol, I cant get everything at once like one time ill throw it too early and end up doing like an offaxis 7 to faceplant, then ill get the timing right but not get the handle pass, then ill get the handle pass but not complete the full 360 spin.....anybody got any advice?.... ive been practicing on the tramp like mad and still cant land um.... im stating to think I might try ts backside 3s casue thats what my most confident trick was this winter snowboarding, I could hit the spine toeside and throw a massive backside 3... |

| im assuming that you're talking about trying hs frontside 360's. if you are, i garauntee you will not land a ts backside 3 anytime soon. they are by far the hard 360 in wakeboarding and im guessing they're very different than snowboarding. my advice (if you are talking about hs fs 3's) would be to get good pop, then pull on the handle. keep the handle close to your hips, by doing this you can sort of control how fast/slow you want to rotate. pop -- pull -- pass. hope this helped a little |

| get your HS FS 180s really solid. That helps you get used to spinning FS, waiting until your off the wake, etc. For the 3, just wait! Pop, then wait...wait some more for longer than you think possible, then pull the handle to the small of your back, reach around and grab it. Concentrate 100 percent on the handle pass...If you get the rope, and youve waited to spin, you should land it or have it close enough where you just polish it up and perfect the landing. Good luck! Its a b#$ch of a trick. |

| hmm.. that blows. if I can get it once, it automatically comes with at least 90% consistency, no matter what the trick... so far;) but this includes scarecrows, whirlys, tantrums, tantrum to blind, blah blah blah, even the 540. working on the 720. but I ride every day I'm at the lakehouse, which is almost every day from about April to November. |

I landed my first 360 3 years ago and they're still not consistent...
Getting better though. I really have to focus on waiting to spin until I'm in the air. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

It will come slowly but surely. For me i landed my first 3's last summer, and i thought i had them down pat, untill this summer. I pulled off the first one of the year clean, but havent landed one since. Starting to get into my head, but like they all said u gota wait to initiate the spin. I guess to much snowboarding ftl. _________________ Only live once, why waste. |

I also get tricks dialed after the first time I land a trick. But yeah, pop-pull-pass. Maybe a TS 3 would be easier. Especially since you don't have to do a handle pass. Just to a halfcab backside 180 in the flats and ride with your back hand on the handle for a while. Once you can ride blind, you will get used to the landing of a TS 3. For a TS 3, just go for a TS 180, and then just pull that last 180. _________________ www.munsonski.com

Here's what you do for a HS FS 3:
1) Drift to the wake w/ a constant speed, but at the same time keep edging don't flat out your board. Also stretch your arms out a little while edging in so you'll have more rooms to pull the handle to start spinning in mid air.
2) Keep line tension constant all the way through the wake as it will help you passing the handle w/o too much pulling from boat.
3) bend your knees to get a good pop at the wake.
4) After you popped up, wait and look at the highest point of the boat before start spining- this will help set your axis (very important)
5) Pull the handle to initate rotation and at the same time turn your head to the opposite direction- don't look down, keep look at the horizon.
6) Look back to the same highest pt of the boat after passing the handle.
7) Landing and ride away.
The most important thing for this trick is to wait and spin. Don't spin too early otherwise yor axis will be off. |
