After looking at this boat a great deal and reading these forums I am very close to purchasing one. I was wondering what options do you think are must have, wish you would have purchased, and which are a waste of money. Thanks in advance for your help.
I just want to get the boat setup the way it should be and not wish I would have added something else. |

when I bought mine, this what I thought was necessity....
heater(depending on your local climate, always nice to have on cool mornings/evenings
perfect pass
bow cover for a wind block on those cool morning
then as part of boat show special I also got the
bimini
boat cover,
amp
tower speakers
the only thing I would have gotten if it wasnt free was the boat cover and bimini
the nice thing about the supra is it pretty much comes with everything you need, the rest is just personal preference! _________________ www.midwestwakeboarder.com

River Hill, when I ordered mine I splurged a bit, somethings are must have some things aren't...
-Perfect Pass: I doubt I'd ever order a boat without it.
-CNC Wakebooard Prop: If you're going to load your boat down with people or ballast, get this for sure.
-Bimini: I actually find myself using this more than I thought. I love the sun so I rarely use it when the sun is out, but it is a good wind block and rain screen if you ever get caught out when it's not so nice out.
-Docking Lights: I don't know how many times I find myself on the water after dark, so these are a great luxury item.
-Tower Mirror: The Supra tower mirror is nice, but it is expensive. If you're trying to save money you can get a nice one for half the money.
Things I regret not getting...
Custom Gel Coat: The coloring from the bottom boot stripe down looks sweet. I wish I had done this on my boat.
Covers: This is one thing I kind of regret not getting, the snap on cover. I wasn't able to see a picture of one when I ordered and after now seeing one I wish I had ordered it.
Other than that, you've picked one heck of a machine. You will be very happy. Good luck with your choices! Of course, post some pictures when you pick her up! _________________ Riders Inc. |

| Thank you guys for the advice. How about engine choices 325, 340 or the monster fuel hog 450? |

I also splurged a bit as this was my 3rd Supra and 2nd 21V.
I went with:
Bimini: Never had one before and now I will never go without.
CNC Wakeboard prop: If you ride alot, you'll want this
PP WB Pro: See above comment
Snap On covers: The boat still gets dirty, but with the custom black snap on's, it looks sick.
340 MPI: This matched with the CNC wb prop makes take offs effortless. I really like the performance and sound of it. (BTW, I don't believe you can get the big block in the 21V)
Docking lights: Used 'em once, but hey....they look cool.
Audio: I got the 4 channel amp and the sub. The amp is nice the sub is OK. I added another sub and aftermarket tower speakers and will do aftermarket lights soon.
LED trailer lights: Again, just because.
Heater: Must have IMO.
I think that's it. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

I would recommend these things:
Perfect Pass
Upgrade to the 340 Engine
CNC Wakeboard Prop
If you are looking to add any more weight than what comes with the stock ballast, the upgraded engine and prop combo are a must. |

I will pleasantly disagree with the upgraded engine being a must. It is nice, but not a must. It is all in the prop. I run a lot of weight and my 05' had the 325 and it was a bit of a pig when loaded. On my 06' I run the same weight and engine, but the new 06' wakeboard prop pops it right out of the water. I almost did the 340 and would certainly consider it, but just so you know it is not a must if you have the right prop.
I can pope right out of the whole with 2300lbs of ballast + people.
If you run at altitude I would certainly consider it more..... I will be running at slightly higher elevation next month and we will see how she does... |

Like NAW said, get the 4 ch amp, but I wouldn't get the sub. It is very easy to put a sub and box behind the driver's kick pannel.
I've got the 325 w/ the wb prop and it performs well even with stock ballast and 11 people. Can't imagine what the 340 is like.
Get the tuano (spelling) and cockpit cover, they are actually nice and seem well built. I've trailered twice with it (under 60mph) and it hasn't stretched yet.
I'd get the bimini also, we didn't by 2 or 3 o'clock I wish I had it.
Get the PP, I never had it before but LOVE it now, in my DD I could hold speed well. This boat w/the ballast and lots of people is a lot harder (still doable), more work than it's worth.
Also, get the transom remote. It works great, and has been a hit with the girls. Don't have to get out of the water to change the volume (when the cops come) or change a song or folder. |

Im with NAW on the PP, Wakeboard Prop and 340. If you are going to put a few amps and sub go with the 340 hp it has an upgraded 90 amp altenator. My crew really likes the forward Bemini. We ride in cold weather so the heater and tonnau cover. Leds on the trailer _________________ Life is too short

Well I am not a 21V owner but I have a 24 SSV and the WB Prop has been a significant help! This boat has the 8.1 and also the Stock prop. Then we asked about the WB Prop and wow is it amazing the thing pops out of the hole full ballast no problems _________________ Supra owners join the group!

I use the bimini on mine quite a bit more than I thought I would. On my 22SSV I have the 325 motor and wish I had the 340. I have 2100lbs of ballast and it struggles a bit to pull larger riders up (anyone over 210lbs).
Also put in a heater and shower over the winter and haven't touched them yet. Probably will come in handy later but right now I pretty much ride in the middle of the day mostly.
Must for me:
Perfect Pass
Bimini
and I would have upgraded the motor. |

The standard prop for the 21v is a 13.7 x 17.5 CNC 4 blade prop. The optional wakeboard/altitude prop is a 13x15.5 CNC 4 blade prop. _________________ Riders Inc. |

Most loved options for me is the transome remote.
Option I wish I would have got is the snap on cover instead of the regular cover. _________________ Brent B

I tried the 13X15.5 prop last year, but I was told that for '06 Supra changed to the 14.25x14 prop as their wakeboard prop. I like the 14.25X14 better. It seems to pull the boat out of the hole nicely when loaded, and the RPMs don't seem to be too much higher than the 13.7X17.5 prop. At 22mph I seem to be at about 3300 rpms with the 14.25X14, and best I recall I was right around 3000rpms with the 13.75X17.5. I haven't looked at top end since I very seldom go over 30mph.
Has anyone had any clearance issues with the trailer with the 14.25X14 prop? My prop was so close to the prop guard that you couldn't fit your finger between it and the prop. I lowered the prop guard 3/4 inch last weekend. I had not hit it before I moved it, but I sleep easier now. |

I suppose I should of mentioned, the props I mentioned are from the 2005 model year. I haven't investigated what the props are for the 2006's. _________________ Riders Inc. |

I have an 05 21V
It sounds like a lot of people are fans of the snap cover. I really liked mine at first, but after taking in on and off all of the time, it gets to be a pain in the arse. Pluse I've had about 5 snaps break on me already. Of course they are easily replaceable, but still a pain. I would buy a really nice towable dust cover.
I wouldn't buy the factory stereo, that was the first thing i got rid of. You can get something much nicer for the same money at your local stereo shop.
Upgrade the ballast to the gravity bags if you desire... do a search and you can find the ballast config that most are running.
Other than that I pretty much agree with everything that has been said so far. |

Not sure the type/brand. However, when I ordered the gravity games ballast bags over the winter they recommended I change the prop out to compensate for the extra weight so I did. They just told me I'd loose top end speed but will pull out of the hole better. As far as top end speed, as long as it'll go 21-23 mph, who cares |

| I bought mine off the dealer floor and it had a couple of options that I probably would not have put on it. It had the stainless fender wells and the stainless swing away tongue. That being said, I'm now really glad that they ordered it that way. After living with it for a while, those two options really make it stand out when it's sitting on the trailer and I love the way it looks. Not for everyone, but I like it. |
