I have been searching the net and this site looking for more information on Loud Liquid's 4 6x9 enclosure. I have found a little bit, but not enough to convince me.
What kind of bass can I expect out of 4 6x9s? I have a Clarion CMD4 in my boat, which puts out 300 watts max (supposedly). I currently only have 2 6.5s inside the boat and the bass response sucks.
If I decide to get them, I am going through West Marine since they have them in stock. The 4 is $800 and the 2 is $500. What would you go with? Are they a good setup for someone looking for alot of bass? I have nowhere to put a subwoofer.

You will not be happy with 6x9 for bass. Great mid, but they need to be crossed over or they will crap out. My buddy has a carbon fiber rack with 6 Kicker 6x9's and honestly, i think it sounds like crap. But only because they are not crossed over low enough and they bottom out with bass. Find a spot for a 10 _________________ Move along people....nothing to see here.... |

Trainwreck, The LoudLiquid Stuff is pretty decent, I've used it before and sell it in the UK.
However if its bass you are looking forthis is not the solution, this tower setup is designed to get sound back to your rider.
If you want bass you hsould consider a 12" sub with a decent quality amp.
Let us know how it goes _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

Thank you for the responses! I actually ended up with 4 Skylon Defcon 2s. They sound kick ass. But? No bass. LOL _________________ Imagination is everything, it is the preview of life's coming attractions. |

For bass do somethin like this...
Its a temp fix for me until I find the time build a custom box to set it in a little deeper and fit all the way across. This was just an old dual 10 box I had that I ripped in half to get it in for this weekend. _________________ Move along people....nothing to see here.... |
