No you don't REALLY need one, you don't really need a boat either, but I believe towers do help. Much of wakeboarding is about your edging technique, get this right first. The next thing I would worry about is the size and shape of your wake, try adding lots of weight. A tower will increase the time you spend in the air, but not by 5 minutes. Towers are expensive, your cover might need to be altered and storage can become an issue. A tower will not instantly make you better, they can help you progress a bit faster though. There is plenty you can do without a tower. Towers also let you store your boards out of the way. _________________ "I know violence isn't the answer, I got it wrong on purpose." |
