I got an 05 Harris. It lands way to hard for me. But its fast and agressive. I am going to get the Militant as soon as my local shop gets one in.

really? You thought it landed hard? What size? I have the 41 and was stoked, but I ride wake to wake rather than boosting into the flats so maybe that's it.

The Harris shape is built for a Randy Harris style of riding, which means it sets up for long and wide approaches into the wake. Definitely lots of pop and power, you just have to earn it with a good wide cut and a true progressive edge into the wake. There is hardly any edge-to-edge response because the molded fins and the board profile are so long and narrow.

I found the Militant to be MUCH more responsive. I went from a GB Harris to a Double Up Lidberg (shaped similar to the Militant) and the first thing I noticed was how responsive the board was, especially with edge transitions. The molded fins and the board's profile are much wider than the Harris. You roll into an edge and boom it's locked in.

The Harris is a great traditional shape, I just find it to be too narrow and long-based to give you a good responsive feel.

GBRIDER, ya the huge flat spot in the rocker kind of makes it land a little harder then most boards. I have the 143 and my friends Premier landed WAY softer. I think I am going to get the 136 Militant. I'll have two boards that will work very different. It will be rad.

I have been riding the Wess Brisco 138 for a year now very good shape and ride. my pic and one I think every one should try. Swap the fins to some .5 or ride finless and your all good.

I really liked the gonzales when I rode it. The shop that I ride for doesn't sell GB anymore though because they didn't sell that much. I'm trying to get them to sell GB again though because I really like GB.

almost bought the militant but have always been a fan of the vandals riding and thought I should support him. That and I like the shape. I run it with no fins and it feels great on the water - very happy with it.
