i used to skate for about 5 years, and i just got interested in wakeskating, i dont know why i never thought about it before but are tricks like

360 flips
frontside/backside flips
varial heelfip
heelflip

cuz i could do those in a second on a skateboard, is wakeskating like totally different or will i shred the wakeskate cuz im a good skater?

money_mike, well some of the top pros are just conquering those tricks so I doubt youll hop on a skate a land those really quickly. Youll have a knack for it though. I guess its harder than skateboarding because its bigger than a skateboard but Ive never understood why a kickflip or whatever is so difficult on water vs. land. beats me

But they are very similar shape to skateboards and are the easiest for flip tricks. They are also the longest lasting skates on the market. It's better to pay $280 and get to ride it for a few years than pay $200 a year for a wood skate.

Money Mike, Here's some of those flip tricks you named. www.wakeskating.com/media/showphoto.php?photo=1945

LFADAM, http://chriscut.com/gallery/Integrity-shots i bought my integrity in sept of 2004. Its still holding up perfectly, and I ride it between 1-6 times a week. I've hit tons of sliders, and kickers, all the marks you see on the board are from old sliders that had screws sticking up. I would have gone though at least 3 wood boards by now at least, and would have had to deal with water logging, resealing, and delamination problems at the end of each boards life.

I'm buying a new integrity model when it comes out, but its not because my 2004 team is falling apart, it still rides as if it were brand new. I'm upgrading because I like the new designs, and advances they've made with their boards.

money_mike, As far as I know most of those tricks you've listed have been done. I dont think anyone has heel flipped or varial heel flipped though. I can do heel flips and i just learned varial heels/inward heels on my tramp pretty well, so i'm sure somebody out there is close to heelflips on the water.

Check out this shot of reed hansen doing a vflip body varial, its pretty sick what kind of tricks are going down these days:
