Does anyone have any tips on this trick? Is it easier to grab mute or melan? Handle position, edge, etc.
-Thanks |

thats a good question. i know that you take a similar approach as you would for a raley, except instead of pushing your legs behind you and letting the boat do all the work, you pitch your upper body foward, tuck your knees up, and grab melon or mute....im sure melon would be easier, but mute would help to make the trick cleaner and more o/a....
i've never actually tried one, yet i know how to do it....i always forget about that trick, i better write it down |

| i grab melan but if you grab mute you will have a better chance of it being an actual off axis 180 instead of a hoochie krypt |

Well, I tried many of these this weekend with great success. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I didn't worry about grabbing them yet as I just wanted to get the feeling and motion of the trick down first. I need to get some video so I can see how far o/a I am. Sometimes you feel like you really let it fly behind you, but it might not be near as far as you think.
I just took a wide cut out, got in a very seated position, just drifted in, kept the handle in really close, and let it fly out the back off the wake. It was probably decently easy as well because I think I used 2 hands through lots of the rotation. Hopefully it won't be much harder with only one when I start grabbing them. It did feel really cool though! |
