Everyone likes a good crash huh?

Here's my first attempt at a raley. Funny how any sort of edging technique goes out the window when your mind's on the wipeout about to happen.

At least I got it flat (lots of commitment then) until I dropped the bar and did the front flip! Very Happy

enjoy

Just from what I saw, it looked like you completely flattened out right before you hit the wake.

If you pause it, it looks like you flattened out, killing your jump. It's good you got way out in the flats, better than wussing out and not getting anywhere.

Keep it up! Very Happy

Yeah, straight away when I watched it I noticed I backed right of the edge quite a bit before the wake.

The thing that finished it though, was when I went to pull the bar back in, the line seemed pretty slack (probably cos I stopped edging Rolling Eyes ) and I just kept rotating round.

And yes, the wake is tiny. Fatsacks are on the way but I don't think it's ever gonna be great on that boat. Ahh well, sometimes you just gotta make do with what ya got!

1. No offense, but your wake sucks
2. You might want to get better at getting more air first
3. Don't let off your edge, at all!

Rocket: Yeah, Poole UK. The world's second largest natural harbour! (apparently)

willc: lol, I agree the wake isn't good, no offence taken. I've been experimenting with ballast, and I think I can clean it up a lot. I've never actually ridden on a proper wakeboat, so to be honest, I don't know what I'm missing. There's lot's of wake shops with boats round here, so you can get a slot in one pretty easily. I'm quite tempted to, but I fear if I do, I'll never want to go out in mine again.

Ed you should go get some lessons somewhere if you can. raleys suck for injuries and really pool harbour isnt one of those places i would like to take a bad one. I went there myself many years ago and broke down outside poole and drifted in to a beach....a sandy beach.....ear its a nudist beach! yer u guessed it, studland bay, lovely place though. Back to going behind a wakeboard boat, can be quite intimidating and that wake wants to launch you straight up, you wont know whats hit you. You can look up the british waterski federation website and that will give you all the venues. I know its a way to travel but a trip to quayside near farnborough. its a great day out with a pub overlooking the lake too. you will see some awesome riding with britains best going down there to train sometimes.

That wake sucks yer its small but you cant have everything and im sure its a lovely boat. Hope you can do stuff like tantrums which would be quite easy behind a small wake, if you cant then give them a crack first. Have the same go for it attitude and it doesnt take long.

Good luck whatever you try.

Ok, here's a different link:

Studland bay, awesome name for a nudist beach huh? Pitty everyone's a little past it down there!

With regard to the raley's I kitesurf a lot, and can get em really flat behind the kite, but it's so much easier cos the pull point is high and you've a lot of time. But I figured, what the heck and gave it a go behind the boat.

I'll definately give the tantrum a go though. Seeing a clip of someone doing one off the flats has given me some more motivation.
