i dont fully understand whats going on in a backroll, and the trick tips section movie doesnt work so does anyone have a decent video of a backroll i can watch and lear exactly what it is?

check this out it'll show you its a pic by pic. google up a kyle schmit explanation he breaks it down step by step really well. best i can say to you is just take a progressive edge in you'll need some speed to clear the wakes. as you pop look toward or tilt your head toward your back shoulder which initiates the rotation. then spot a landing and stick it. hopefully that'll help ya. peace.

If you pick apart what he's doing, you can see that he doesn't really load the line, doesn't stay on edge as he hits the wake, and right as he hits the wake, his feet slide out from under him. Gives a good video though!

The backroll doesn't go backwards, think of it more as a sideflip.

catch this wake- you might want to take a shorter approach and focus on really edging thru the wake. this will give you much more pop, and thus more time to complete the rotation. you have got the basis for it, but that edge needs to be very progressive at the wake.

a shorter approrach??? thats like contrary to what ive been hearin. 've just been told hold off on the hard edge till I get closer to the wake. But hey I'll get it a try.

The landing is still giving me problems. I tried 2 times today where I had the board under me and the rope in my hand but I just can't ride away. Any suggestions??
