I need an XL for the length of the foot-bed on the bindings but when I tried on a pair of '06 XL sphynx I had a lot of heal-lift even when I had them tightened all the way down. Is it possible to tighten down the wraps on these bindings? _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

They make a Large-Long that I assume has the wraps of the Large but the foot bed of the XL's. Maybe that will work? _________________ O+<| |

madtekniques, yeah I've seen those. Also some XL narrows which are probably the same thing. The problem is they are hard to come by. I think the sphynx would work perfectly if I could tighten them down but I want to make sure before I buy some. The guy at the shop wasn't sure. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| answer = yes. I adjusted the overlay on my XL's to fit the top of my foot better. |

ttuclint, sweet that was what I was looking to hear. What bindings do you have? And you adjusted them to be tighter? Was the process difficult?
I am leaning toward the '05 Sphynx. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

I have the '05 Transits. I needed to make the toe area much tighter on one foot and a little tighter on the other. Took me about an hour. Not too difficult.
1. Take heel piece off
2. Take off one side of the plastic strip covering the screws ( I did the inside)
3. Take out only the screws that are holding that piece to tighten
4. Pull it down to where you think it needs to be. ( the rubbery part, not the cloth part)
5. Put screws back in and test fit - if too tight go back up, loose pull more out.
6. Cut off excess material that you have pulled out and put binding back together. |

the 2006 stuff isnt adjustable. its all glued or stitched. there's no screws holding the overlay to the base. if you want adjustability you'll need to get 2005 gear. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

Thanks for the help guys. Sucks that the '06 stuff isn't adjustable. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
