i havent yet had the chance to test it out yet, just got a tramp last sunday, but what i believe is the case is:
when you spin on the tramp, the rope is tethered to a fixed point that is not moving. if you are spinning correctly you use the line to initiate the spin thus pulling on the rope, and pulling your body forward.
on the water, when this happens, there will be some slack, but the point your rope is tethered to is moving, and will eliminate most of the slack. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/muxpux

You will have more slack on the tramp than on the water. The wind resistence on your body will make you catch up faster.
The most imporant thing to practice on the tramp is initiating the rotation with the rope. Don't spin off the bounce. Jump straight up and pull the rope to your back. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

basically. jump straight up, and use the rope to start the spin.
if your left foot forward, and want to do a frontside spin... go straight up, and throw your right hand (with the handle) to your back. this should send you spinning.
spinning off the bounce (using your head and arms) wont help you on the water, as you have to wait till you launch off the wake to start spinning on a wakeboard. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/muxpux

I have never done flips or spins on a trap with a rope But i can do back tuck and arials on the ground. and do spins on a trap. How hard is it to do spins like a scarecrow on a trap it seems like you would land off of the trap.
thanks for the help |
