closed bow made open... can it be done

Not that I'm considering it, but an open bow would be my preference. Aside from selling the boat I have barely begun to use, has anyone converted their closed bow to an open bow? I certainly wouldn't do it myself, just wondering if it can be done, and if it's not a bad idea.

i don't think the price/possible problems would outweight the 2 extra seats u would gain.

Yes it can be done. My local shop wanted about $3500 to do it. I opted for the new boat instead.

F that. I would get another boat instead. That's like making a truck or SUV into a converible. It wasn't made for it and would make me question the hull integreity. I think you would be compromiseing some other things as well.
