Hey all,
I just started wakeskating, and I've had 2 sessions out on it with no fins. I'm having a hard time cutting hard and the board keeps sliding out really easy. Having no bindings sure does make it hard to edge.
So... help me. |

karkid,
what kind of board are you using?
I had one skate that kept slipping out, it took me a few times to really feel the comfort zone.
Just keep riding you will get it, ask nick taylor on here, he rips on the skate
i ride finless btw too _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

if you are just starting out you may want to use fins until you are comfortable. If you are riding finless you really have to get on edge and ride with a bit more of a bend knees style to have better control.
I find with fins its a bit more of using your back leg to carve around whereas finless you kinda use more of the boards edge with both feet for control.
Also as with anything....... practice, practice, practice........ |

LMAO
ITS A SLIDE! It is supposed to slide...... That is a great deck, i prefer the loose feel of no fins but using them is also good advice. Ride with both for a few runs and I have even seen people ride with one fin. Just keep ridin. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

karkid, I think he means it's ironic that you are asking about why it slides out and he pointed out that it's the name of the skate, I don't think he meant to make fun of you or your skate.
That said, I think the cure to your ailment is time and determination. If you want to learn it, there's nothing that can stop you. Just keep it up and know that it's an attainable goal .
Good luck

Nick is right, I was not making fun at all, and he is correct, just keep riding,
I have a kampus k39 and its a very squirrelly skate too.
Most folks who ride a skate without fins will experience the same thing. For 60 bucks I would say you got a great deal. If I saw one today at 60 I would buy it too.
Not hatin at all brudda.
NO FINS
NO STRAPS
NO BVLL stuff _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

the fins I used to run were 1.75'' and it always felt too deep.
Maby 1.25'' or 1.5'' would be nice? _________________ Fat kid dancing to "Numa Numa"
