alright i just got done downloading what i thought was a video of rodney mullen however when i went to play it, it says i can't play it because the file isn't supported. so i went to delete it and it won't let me delete it because it says another person or program is currently using it. all other programs are closed and it still says this. i've tryed restating and turning off my comp, redownloading the clip(this happened once before and after redownloading it i was able to dlelte it) and moving it to my documents. it moved and i was able to delete it in my documents but when i went back to my music/video file it was still there and not deletable. i don't think it's a virus because my computer isn't really acting up. any ideas on how i can get this deleted?

what kind of file extension is it? if it uses windows media player or quicktime to play it...press CTRL and ALT and DEL at the same time to enter the system processes, and END TASK on either Quicktime or Windows Media Player or both.

close out of kazaa or whatever p2p filesharing program you are using and try to delete it again. happens to me all the time with kazaa mostly when i preview it in the kazaa media player.

Well if you have realplayer or wmp you can go to their websites and download the .avi extension so you can play the file.

Its a corrupt file. 2 things to try---

Select the file, Hold down CTRL and then hit Delete

if it still gives that error...

Reboot your computer into 'safe mode' and then delete the file.
