| A little bit of everything one of the biggest was the lack of bowrise in the cal air, more storage, the ballast system, handling, ride. It was not just one thing but it seemed the pro v did everything better

fs04laoaksfny,
The Cal-air has a decent ski wake at 36. It doesn't compare to the flat bottomed comp boats of the past but it is great for an occasional set.

| I picked up my Cal-Air for under $30K new. Including a tandem trailer and towing cover.

Dang. That is cheap. I paid 25K, 27K out the door for my Sport Comp Xts (fist pic on this thread) in 2000 with tower tandem trailer and cover.

I bought mine late in 2001 when the 2002s were hitting the dealer.
My search started off looking at used boats for cost reasons, worked out better to get a deal on a brand new one!

Barney is an 02 Cal-Air with heater, shower, PP wakeboard pro, cover for $28,900.00
I paid $30,700 for the Alpina new in 01. Fully loaded but only with wakeboard cruise.

calair03, our boat didn't have the rear bar or the open bow bars. When the bow cover on it looks like a closed bow. That's the way the dealer ordered it. We ended up really liking it that way.

DRAGON88,
Maybe when you get your job at the dock this summer, you can talk your parents into buying you a new orange calabria.

I think that it would be cool to see a closed bow pro-v. The pro-v has so much seating that the nose seating is not totally needed. It would be kind of like a day cruiser. What do you think?

calair03, it was in the boat trader a couple of months ago.
RanMan, I'm glad you like your boat. I like most all boats, some more than others. The real test is when you have a few hundred hours on them and to see how they hold up. Give us a report once you hit 300 hours or so. From what I have read on the net is that Centurion has had a few issues with boats and very bad customer service. Hopefully yours is not one of them.
