i can't do them but i'm pretty sure the mexi roll is more of a heelside frontroll...as if u hit the wake heelside and then just do a frontflip as if on a trampoline..while the backroll is more of a sumersault over backwards...although backrolls aren't straight summersaults that's what i'd say it's closest in ralation to. id say a true backroll is like 1/4 front flip and 3/4 summersault, cause the rotation is between both planes _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...

Keep in mind that it's basically the same trick. Just thrown on a slighly different axis. So while what everone has said is correct that it's within the context of 1 trick.
For instance when you throw a roll to revert you do it using a straight backroll style. When you throw a roll to blind you do it with a mexican style. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone.

Found this definition on this site under "trick list". Clicked on inverts, then scrolled down the list of terms to find it. Hope it helps.

Mexican Roll: A Heelside Backroll where the rider throws his head and body down instead of to the side. It was named after Andrea Gaytan, a former female professional rider from Mexico. It's normally considered an uglier version of a Backroll, but it's the rotation style used for a Roll To Blind or KGB. It's sometimes referred to incorrectly as a heelside Front Roll
