Ballast Pump Location Question

I am ready to install 3 Simer pumps in my boat and have been evaluating different locations, the most logical placement for my application is up under dash in the passenger storage locker. The depth of the locker is such that nothing ever makes it there so it is just wasted space. Question is will I lose performance because I will be pulling the water about 8 feet? The pull is flat with approx 1' (which would occur no regardless of location) of rise at the back of the boat. I have a 1 1/4" thru hull and will be using 1 1/4" hose all of the way up to the manifold. I can increase the size of the thru hull and hose to the manifold if it would help.

Any input is appreciated.

Hey panhead,
The "rise" doesn't sound as if it'll be a problem, maybe check over on WW to see if someone has done a similar install....
