| Not. If you can throw tricks on a skateboard that helps, but doing a popshuvit on a skateboard is different than doing a popshuvit on a wakeskate. |

The foot/eye coordination, and the timing that you have from skateboarding helps with wakeskating, but that's once you get to the more advanced, until then it is more similar to a wakeboard because you aren't really attempting tech tricks when you are learning

for me I got the whole riding thing down cuz I wakeboarded.. but the tech tricks is what is killing me.. since I suck at skating.

Right now I'm just taking everything tech I can do, and doing it wake to wake behind a wakesetter. It's goin pretty good
