kmagnuss, I personally like skeeters better than bass trackers.

But seriously, Malibu, Mastercraft, Fountain, Tige, and Moomba.

With reasons...
1. Super Air Nautique 210
...because it is so easy to prove why people love it: the wake.

2. MasterCraft X-80
...because it is a yacht. A wakeboarding yacht. Drool.

3. Master Craft X-45
...because it is a huge, gorgeous, well built boat. Said to seat 18 people.

4. Supra Launch 24
...because it is a huge, gorgeous, well built boat too.

5. Super Air Nautique 220
...because with some rework of the interior, and some rebranding, it could be awesome.

Honorable mention: Master Craft CSX 220. This thing has been the Mango of boats for me (See Saturday Night Live's character played by Chris Kattan). I think the boat makes more sense than many of us are willing to admit. For some reason this boat just pops into my head at the strangest times. And for lake boat/wake boat people who have aspirations to use a boat in the ocean and the lake, this thing makes all kinds of sense. So it gets a mention from me here.

never understood the x-80. what does the x-80 offer that the x-45 doesn't other than room for 22 instead of 18? maybe if you had a lakehouse and a lift it would be manageable, but i'd hate to have to trailer and tow that beast. i was at TSR a few months ago and a family came to test drive an x-80. the dealership spent over an hour before they arrived prepping it and putting it in the water. the family took one or two turns in it (literally, they were only on the water for 3 minutes), and they couldn't leave fast enough

1) My boat
2) Friends or anyone else willing to give me a pull behind their boat doesn't matter what kind.
3)X-80 that thing just kicks ass
4) Friends SeaDoo's (especially crazy red), too much fun when it's too rough to wakeboard
5) The party boat, when it's hot and you want to get out of the sun and have a couple of cold ones.

JV, the X-80 is like no other. I guess it's not for you, I was in the MC booth at the boat show for a while and the reaction was pretty much the same from everyone that looked at. It pretty much got best in show.

1. SAN. Does everything I want a tow boat to do, in a package that fits me perfect. note: I could be happy with a few other designated tow boats, but this was the one I picked and I currently don't have tow boat envy.

2. Doral Alegria. Big cruiser that would make my wife very happy.

3. Fantasy Houseboat. Because it was the first houseboat name that came to mind.

4. Cobalt 262. Because it I went back into the I/O market and it wasn’t a cruiser, it would be a 262.

5. The Octopus. Because I could sell it for 1/3 of what it is worth and retire.

Bambamski, i've seen and crawled in a few in person and have never been blown away. as far as huge wakeboats from mastercraft, i like the x-45 A LOT more. it's four feet shorter, but i still think you could fit just as many--or more--people comfortably. i do like the x-80's seating configuration (except that it isolates the driver) but not much beyond that. you're right, it's just not the boat for me even if i had bill gates kind of money. maybe if it had one 480 or so horsepower engine instead of two 350's i'd be more on board. even though the MCX is top notch, two engines still equal twice the chance for something to go wrong. and i still say trailering it would be a huge pain in the ass, but i suppose people with enough spare cash to pay for this boat and the gas bill probably have a lakehouse or two.

nevermind, i guess you can't trailer it even if you wanted to. it's a foot wider whan the legal limit. i've seem them on trailers though, but i guess they were custom and not used on highways

JV, being beyond the "legal limit" just means you have to have proper endorsement to tow them.

Around here it means having a Class A (CDL) license instead of a Class C.

In addition to having the proper license endorsements to trailer the 80, you would also need to apply for an oversize load permit every time you moved it. That involves paying for the permit and it is very specific as to the route you need to take to your final destination.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you would since it's wider than the legal limit for the road. I used to work for a construction company and every time we moved a piece of heavy equipment that fell into the oversized load category we had to apply and pay for a permit and then specifically follow the route they gave us.

Bamski... I like your style. You beat me to it. Mine is:

1. My boat
2. A FAT houseboat on Shasta
3. Ultralight float plane
4. Sea doo
5. Sea doo

And a whole summer to do nothing but enjoy it all.

number one for me would have to be the Enzo. Best surf wakes period. Then I would go Avalanche. Best wake for boarding, better than an "x" boat. Yea I said it, I would take the Pepsi Challenge with that boat anyday. Then I would go 247 Malibu, something by Nautique and then MB.

Out of Wakeboarding boats,

1. SAN 220
2. MC X Star / MC X 45
3. Tige 22 VE
4. Malibu 247 LSV
5. Supra 24 ssv Gravity.

Its really close between all of those, but hell I would take any wakeboat.
To tell the truth, I am as happy as could be with my Family's boat, 2004 Tige 22v

1. 02 x-star (205 hull)- Freakishly good wake with the factory ballast, drives well, and is relatively decent on feul consumption.
Based on the history of this wake, there is not a trick out there that I shouldn't be able to do off of this wake..... except for my lack of skill that is. Embarassed

2. New x-star- Freakishly big wake. During my first cut into the wake of one of these things, I was unprepared. I edged into the wake, stood tall, and not much happened. I thought "Did I miss the....." and was hurled skyward. Patience was the key.
With the width and smoothness of this wake, people were going much bigger than they thought they were. When we watched the tape and counted air frames, we were surprised at the height and hang time we were getting because of the easy takeoffs and landings.

3. Supra lauch- Great wake when loaded. the few that I have ridden behind have been loaded down and threw a gigantic, clean wake. They were by far the best direct drive I have ever ridden behind.

4. Mobius XLV- Big wake, great double up, plenty of room, and great seating. I love the tower... it goes very well with the lines of the boat. The ride was incredible, you barely felt the double up when driving one.
I was very, very close to buying one based on a couple of test drives with three people and factory ballast.

5. SANTE- Great wake with plenty of hang time. I had time to grab the board and hold it, poke it, let go, and decide I had time to grab again.

**The Wakesetter has a great wake as far as I can tell. It would probably rank pretty high if I had more time to ride behind one. I have just never gotten the opportunity to really ride behind one in decent conditions.**

Of course i'm biased, but I have to agree with ridehyperlite on the Enzo, and Avalanche. I think these two boats are pure wakeboard-skate-surf boats that pull no punches, they just deliver, for an honest price.

1. C4 Avalanche
2. Enzo
3. 23' X-star
4. 210 SANTE
5. 220 SAN
