i spent about an hour completely sanding the platform down to a solid color... it was in rough shape. Then a put a couple layers of this teak oil stuff that came with the boat.

there was a topic aobut it in boats and accessories. It was called oiling your platform. There was some goof info such as you dont have to sand it down. This is some chemical crap that will take all of the oil away from the platform

find new teak oil then.... as long as you got your platform one soild color before you oiled it, it should be nice and shiny.

Try putting on more coats. In the one topic soemone said he puts like 1 coat on every half over for a total of 8 coats

I got a new Seadoo Sportster 4-Tec. 155hp 4 stroke engine. It gives a decent wake but it makes for a great ride.

Jet skis are sick. The wake from my boat would wash that thing over. I bet it would be awesome to jump that hog off of a double up.

Have fun running circles. I bet it is a blast to ride and would be a great idea for pulling sliders. Speed is not my thing. My boat maxes out at about 43 and I think I am going to have it reproped for more lower end.

Hey Grace B... That's the best Nautique color combo I've seen. Looks really hot. I bought my new used boat back in September and really wanted to get it in the water before summer was finished. Had trailer problems and only had it in the freezing water once before I had to put it away fro winter. I've got another three weeks before I can get my 1993 Tige 2000 SLM COMP on the water. Can't friggin wait. All winter I've been showin people pics and so on.
three weeks, three weeks, three weeks.

Hey Cal air,
You said, "Looks pretty good. Do you weight it? I have a friend that has a 24 ft Cobalt and the wake was pretty sick." Can you say credibility out the window?! I now realize why you have such a attitude about Calabria. You've obviously never seen a real WB boat and it's wake. You think that I/O ripple above is sick? Your friends 24' cobalt is sick? I think you don't understand the term 'sick' as used in slang terminology. Your above comment was directed at the wake photo of an unweighted I/O. Some would use the term sick, but not as a good thing. Now, don't get me wrong, given no choice, I'd board behind anything, Ski Doo included.
And I 'm not here to knock anyone's boat or wake. But, the things you say about everyone else's boat and wake compared to yours, just makes me wonder what you know that we don't. Or maybe just what you don't know.
As for your statement about repropping for low end. Good idea wizard! Carrying 2700 lbs of ballast all day, plus passengers, can be a little tough on your motor in the holeshot. Of course, I'm sure you think your Calabria has the best engine too. Oops, Mercruiser. I've got one of those too.
Oh, and one last thing about Calabria boats and their construction that you hold so dear. "Coremat is a conformable microsphere filled, chopped fiber polyester mat used for laminate bulking" This from the manufacturer of Coremat, the maker of the hightly touted laminate material that Calabria uses exclusively in their boats.
Can you say chopper gun there chief! Yeah, that chopped fiber mat, there's high tech! Good bye, tough guy! Mr. Green

So what now a I/o can't have a good wake? Obviously you have never ridden behind a 24 ft cobalt. Using your mentality, Regal is obviously making a huge mistake in all of this marketing on the new wakeboard specific Session. Oh wait, I am sure that after all of the money they have spent on research and development, you still know more about i/o wakes than they do. An I/o can be sick, and if you need a definition for sick , maybe I should use the term radical or gnarly which you may understand a a little bit better.
Rainman, I had no idea that weighing my boat down with 2700lbs was bad for the engine. I was wondering why it was so slow out of the hole and took so long to plane out. Thanks for the input, you are a lifesaver.
I hope that you the all knowing master about everything boat is joking about the coremat/choppergun statement. Coremat is used for vibration and noise dampening, but I am sure that you already knew that. It has to be chopped, pressed or whatever they do to it to make it suitable for dampening.

Hey RainMan- Stick to the arguement Tiger. Coremat is used to dampen sound and strenghten the hull after the boat is HAND LAID. Isn't that what the discussion was? As for the word SICK I'm sure it didn't come form Pittsburgh and CalAir03 can define the difference. I won''t keep talking cause it's not worth it to someone who knows everything huh BOSS?
