Hi
I boat--- West Coast--- Vancouver to Alaska
New 17' Caribe with 1 1/2" Tower
This boat wll be seeing the worst
On a good day pulling boards a bad crashing Pacific Caps
We need advice on sound systems --I want to be tricked out
We want a thunder to come from the boat when needed
This would be--- mainly a boat system on the run
The odd use for shore partys and towing meatballs in the summer
Does any one have any input on the
New LED Rosswell tower speakers
Could they pointed forward without a water buildup
Contruction "Salt water"Would they take it
Any input from users on Rosswell would be appreciated
Or suggestions on a system I should consider for my unit
Will also want to add --over head lights forward facing(pencil beams) a one wide beam aft ( I know if on they will be illegal)
Suggestions again
Cost ---I would not go to WalMart for this
But it should be off the self
Cheers
Dave,
I'm not sure anything will hold up well to Salt Water. Probably stay away from Chrome. The 1 1/2 inch tower may limit you on the weight that you can put on the tower. There have been some threads regarding this in the past.
To get thunder out of the system you may need to look beyond "off the shelf" and go with NVS, Skylon etc. There are new horn loaded speakers from Extreme. They look like they are made entirely from a plastic or composit. That would help with corosion.
You are a brave man. I don't think I'd be crashing Pacific Caps in a 17 footer. _________________ I didn't do it, nobody saw me, can't prove anything!
