Hey looking to see if anybody in PA would like to set up a weekend at Raystown Lake this summer. Nothing competitive, just an all out fun weekend where we can all get together and ride. Board all day and have a little fun at night too. All would be welcome. Anyone interested?

Some of the guys I ride with may try to make it down there at some point, but since most of us work for a marina we would prob go mid-week. We may try to have some dort of gathering up here at some point though.

Ah. there are a few of us down here in Harrisburg. We will be boarding at least once, probably twice a week here on the Susquahanna. You anywhere near here?

Not sure where that is, Blue Marsh. I've heard of it. We go to Goldsboro/ 3 Mile Island on weekday mornings. When it's warm of course. My drysuit gave up on me. Cheap seals.

Some friends and I were thinking about coming up to Raystown for a couple of days in June to camp and check out the area. If it is nice I would like to rent a houseboat later in the year or atleast make another trip. Whats the water like on the weekends (and weekdays)?

Raystown is an awsome lake. It's like a winding lake so you can almost awyas find a cove to board in. There are bigger "bays" in the lake where it's aways choppy, but around the next bend could be sweet. High rocks to jump off, a slolom course for skiers. And the water is clean. Fishing is tough though. I've never cought anythng there. Heard it's hard to catch there. The have a resturaunt.

What about camping? I thought I read somewhere a while back theres a spot that is only accessible by boat? If not, other good places?

Paradise Point has been closed. We use to love it. But they coldes it to make it something else. Bummer. But if you get a sopt right on the water it's great, because you can make sure your boat doesn't drift on to a rock or somthing in the middle of the night.

Have any of you PA riders ever riden in the lakes in the northwestern part of the state - Sandy Lake, Shenango Reservoir, Tionesta, Conneaut Lake, or the Allegheny Reservoir. The Allegheny Reservoir (Kinzua) is a great lake for wakeboarding, you can always find some glass plus it has unbelievably clean water.

knowfear,

Looks nice! Too bad were about 6 hours from there.

Raystown, We're renting a houseboat out there Aug. 25-28th. This will be my 4th time renting one.....awesome!
I think you can still camp by boat at a place called Nancy's ship-to-shore. Do a search for "raystown lake camping". I see people tent camping there all the time.

We ar planning a Raystown Weekend somtime this summer. Hit me up with a PM if you want to meet up out at Blue Marsh, We are out ther 3-4 time a week during the summer. Either my blue Monterey I/O or my buddy's red AIR Naut.

What color is your X-Star, I remember 2 of them out last year, a red one and a black one. I'm sure we crossed wakes at some point.

There was a post in the thread in the Pull forum from another Blue Marsh regular, so I was thinking we should get together early in the season(before it gets busy), bring all the boats out and have a get together/BBQ on the beach over at Dry Brooks. Everybody that want to show would be welcome but this way all the regulars that dont know each other could meet and later in the season be able to ID the boats and riders if we are out on the water. Plus that would be a sweet picture of nothin but towers along the beach Laughing

Anybody else game for this, probably late April or really early May. The water should be cold enough to keep the crowds on the beach to a minimum, but still be warm enough to ride. If this sounds doable, lets get it going we only got about a month before the riding really begins.

Let me know, I'm done for anything as long as boarding is involved.

mcxstar99,

I was just thinking lets pick a day that we can all get out there. Have everybody just bring enough "grill food" for their crew plus a little extra and whatever. I'll bring charcoal and fire up a couple of the grills and then we can hang out, cook, do whatever and then head back out for a few more sets. Nothing overly formal, just see whos gonna be out this year.

If you're up for that, who else is game.
Chime in if your up for it.

We're up for a BBQ day at Blue Marsh! It's always a good time to meet other wakeboarders.

I have a MC 230VRS/tower/perfectpass/human ballast system Smile

What date did you have in mind?

Just posted an ad for a pull. I'll be working in Harrisburg this summer. I'm used to wakeboarding 3 times a week or more. Can't go all summer without a pull nearby.
Will pay for gas and I have my own equipment (including life jacket, cause wet jackets are the worst)

dylanjustice41@gmail.com
or PM me.

Thanks
Dylan
