Hey guys just wanted to share some pictures of my coaches trampboard he made..... This thing is the most legit tramp board i have ever been on and it is deffinatly a major help for the long winters. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Also the board is flexable enough so you can get enough bounce, but it stiffens out in the air..... It is very forgiving so you can practice your moves relitivaly painlessly.. (the tramp is alot softer than water).

I got more info from my coach... heres what he told me.
Mark Norwell (my coach and Pres. Of Guru Trampboards), and Mike Ferraro are working together to to expand Guru Trampboards. There will be a press release towards the end of April with more ingo. So far as team riders go they have signed Phillip Soven, Dallas Friday, Adam Arrington, Tim Keepers, and Aarron Rathy.
Their will be a GURU Trampboard set up at all of the protour stops where you can try the product.
As to some of the questions,
Swilly: We train on gymanstics trampolines with that have tons of bounce. However the boards work just as well on normal trampolines.
I'm not aloud to say exactly what/how it is made, however i can let you know that the material is flexible enough so that you can bounce but it stiffens out in the air to make it feel like an actuall board. I will have more pictures/ video clips as soon as possible.
If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Also Kyle Schmidt is in on the GURU team, he will be doing alot of training/coaching with the tramp board.
They are not yet available for purchase, look for them in the near future.
Like I said before, there will be a booth setup with trampolines at all of the pro tour stops.

Hey Joe! It's Brian W.
Do you know if Mark will have another one of those boards this Friday. I've been really wanting to try that board again but we've had to skip it for the past month.

Probably about 10x as much as an old skate deck, a roll of duct tape and some old shoes.

Like wake_carver said! Just because of one of those, I'd buy a tramp! For serious.

I wouldn't say that. The reason the GURU board works alot better is because it flexes when its in contact with the trampoline allowing you to get normal bounce, but stiffens out in the air. Another good thing is that there is absolutly no damage done to the trampoline.

| I am interested in this as well. Looks and sounds like it would be an essential product for off season training as well as on season I suppose. DO let us know when it will be available for purchase and where.

...But why is it better than a skateboard with shoes taped to it?

| dmb, looks like it has adjustable bindings that come up higher on the ankle. my friends are convinced they can squeze their bigass feet into my tramp board and always end up tearing through the countless layers of duct tape. also that board is sized more like a wakeboard. grabs are a little different on a skateboard cuz its narrow, short and popsicular(i made up a new word)

dmb, it's better because if you're bouncing on your trampoline with something stiff, (like an old skateboard deck) it kills the bounce of the trampoline.
The Headless Chicken, I'm not sure how the final bindings will be, but there, the bindings are a lot like snowboard bindings, with the backs, and ratchets to adjust the size.

| I'm still wondering if a standard 14' tramp will allow enough bounce for using this new board that Joe Ryan stole for me....

swilly, with this board, you will be able to get just as much bounce as you can without a board on your feet at all.

|
|
Hey guy's and gals. I was also intriqued buy this GURU board. Up until a year ago I have been using a wooden board with a pair of shoes screwed into it. However I saw a pic of this GURU board last year and I was able to somewhat deduce it's design. I am by no means saying that the GURU board is not great, however if you do not have $299.99 to spend on a foam board with bindings here's what to do. I actually had an old boogie board (you could buy one for $20-$40) laying around. You will want one that has the plastic type material on the bottom (gives it a more rigid feal but still bends). I cut the board so that it is not so wide and used epoxy to fasten some old Teva sandals to it. This thing works great. Way better then the wooden deck i built for this. You need to use the right kind of epoxy so that it forms a chemical bond between the rubber of the Teva's and the foam of the board. You could use lightweight sneakers as well. I have built 3 of these now for friends. If I had money to burn I would just buy the GURU but I would rather buy a new wakeboard or new bindings for that price. Good luck

why don't you charge your friends and other people money for what you make then use that money to by the GURU board.

That's a good idear on the ole booger board. What did you cut it with for a clean cut??? And what epoxy? I assume some sort of rubber epoxy.
I have an old booger board and old tevas laying around. Sounds like a plan to me.
