|
|
OKay so I have been searching for this part for my boat with no luck.
My Bayliner came with the factory Sunbrella top. This is the top that attaches to the windshield and covers the cockpit.
I am looking to buy the matching Sunbrella slant back top and possibly the side windows. I had these parts on my old 15' 78 Mosquito and I used them all the time. I have tried all the Bimi top makers I have found online and even Sunbbrella dealers, ebay, etc...
The custom top makers online do not have a pattern for my boat apparently.
I know these parts were available as options from Bayliner. So who's got them for sale? Anyone?
Specs:
2001 Bayliner Capri 195 LX (sport model)
Maroon factory mooring cover and bow cover.
Maroon factory top.
Looking for Sunbrella piece that connects to my main top (zipper) and snaps to the boat just behind the sundeck, along the transom.
thanks for any help!
Next step I guess would be take the boat to a in town boat canvas shop?

Its pretty cheap to get custom canvas done!
But, if you do, make sure they use the same size snaps all the way around, I'm talking about the screw diameter and length....
Also, make sure they predrill so that the fiberglass doesn't "spider crack" out and cause problems down the road!
Basically, take it to a reputable shop and you'll be ok! |

thanks! The boat is already outfitted for this part, the snaps are in place on the fiberglass for the OEM slant top.
They would not have to drill, just build the same piece Bayliner would have sold |

If thats the case, it should be pretty easy for them to do, although when they design them, they put the canvas together first then put the snaps on the boat.
Have you called your Bayliner dealer to inquire about this canvas piece yet? |

yes, no luck with Bayliner dealers, local. Of course in CO I don't expect much from them
Any large bayliner dealers who may have old stock?
