there is a company called ten foot pole, but they actually make a 7 foot pylon. Not sure of the marketing genius behind the name, but it is still a 7 foot pole. I have the www.bigairpulons.com one installed in my boat, and have had no problems with it. It has worked out well for me.

Well, that makes perfect sense. Oh well - most towers are no more than 7'. My Titan is more like 6'.

I've heard of a pylon that's 7' 3". Not that 3 inches is a big dif. I can't remember where that was... Maybe Ichor... I know for a fact that I got the web address from Wakeboarding mag, from all the ads in the back.

Hey thanks Bluefish. I am going to be getting one very soon.

Question for you: Do you stub your toes when you have the pylon taken down, or is it a pretty flush mount?

Thanks!

Why the hell did they call it a "Ten FOOT Pole"? Did they not know how to measure?

im guessing it was more like a catchy phrase, say "Seven Foot Pole" once then say " Ten Foot Pole" ten sounds much better and also probably fooled some people along with hit

I made my own 10 foot pylon, I'm just not sure how well it will work yet. I haven't had it up when I've been out.

Dpierce37, I haven't actually used it yet, I just got it this winter. But, they do advertise the base plate as being low profile so as to not let you stub your toes...
