So I've heard the best way to get started riding switch is to turn my board the other way while getting up. But the one time I tried it I soon fell. It was like trying to write right handed (im a lefty) Now if I keep doing it, will i grow more accustomed to it and therefore be able to ride switch, or will i just end up killing myself? _________________ Metal people are angry cause it isn't music. |

It will give you more control if you let go with your back hand. _________________ I didn't do it, nobody saw me, can't prove anything! |

once you get up, and the boat is still trying to get on plane, just slide the board so that you are riding switch. Then just ride, ride, ride. It's going to take practice. We always used to just ride switch when the water got a little too choppy. It's kind of boring, but now I can jump better on my switch side then my regular side (heelside anyway...I still suck swithc toeside...really really bad) _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

You don't need to bother trying to get up switch, that will come. Keep riding switch during your run and it will just come naturally. Try some half cabs and regular 180's while your at it, that will help your switch take-off and landings a lot. _________________ www.steelmx.com

No I can get up switch, but soon fall. Should I keep doing that or something else? And I will try some 180's this season, all I've accomplished so far is some good edging and a few inches of air? But I didn't know abuot any of the stuff this site teaches me back then, like standing tall at wake and progressive edging.
P.S. Thanks for the advice guys! _________________ Metal people are angry cause it isn't music. |

Someone said it earlier, and i find it to be very helpful as well, let go with your back hand when you're switch. You'll find it alot easier. _________________ '05 Supra Launch 24SSV |
