As many as it takes. Like other tricks, it will take many tries to learn but once you get it, you will get a feel for it. It took me probably about 20 tries constantly before I finally landed it (veeery sketchy) _________________

| it took me like 15 tries or so? but it took me a whole summer to get them to the point where i could do them consistantly enough to call them a filler trick |

| i actually landed a tantrum, scarecrow, and backroll the first time i ever tried them...basic inverts shouldnt take more than a few tries to land if ur ready to try them...especially the raley- probly the easiest invert of all but harder to land for the first time because of the high possibility of eating $hit....so basically if u feel really comfortable doin wake to wake stuff both ways grabs and other basic tricks then ur probly ready to try them, and you should be able to land them quickly. the problem most people have with landing tricks is simply that they try stuff that they are not ready to try. |

| to a certain extent i agree with brentgd86, cause i had prob put over a dozen tries in on a tantrum and ended up with just a black eye and bloody nose because i truly was not ready to be tryin em, through the summer after some practice i finally felt a lil more comfortable, and stuck a backroll in just a few tries, then thanks to the encouragement of my buddies in the boat after i landed the backroll, i tried a tantrum, nearly landed it first try but over rotated just a lil bit, 2 tries later i stuck it clean. In order to progress you need to try stuff even if you think you arnt ready, but there is a point in which its too early to be tryin sumtin. |

Took me about 10 tries I'd say. But I learned it after the backroll which took me a lot more.
The good thing is I was consistent on both soon after. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Backroll took me probably 50 times, after that the tantrum came much quicker.
But the ts frontroll after many attempts remains a problem.. lol... |

I am still more consistent at the tanny than backroll. Took me what felt like a million tries for the Backroll. Tantrum about 15ish. I think air awareness is easier on the tantrum and then translates to other inverts.
If I had it to do over, I would have learned the tantrum first. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

3.
1) random attemp to try some crazy invert (realized i could spin most of it)
2) Actually trying to do the trick (didnt know what it was called at the time)(hurt my shoulder)
3) tryed next day out at the lake and stuck it (no steez what so ever but good enough) _________________ 2005 SeaDoo Wake PWC

I was scared of trying this trick for ages. end of a set i just went for it! it took me 3 attempts. so from not being able to even try one i had landed it within a few minutes! i landed the first two but sketchy and let go. the third i boarded away. the key is speed without getting out of control, squaring my shoulders to the wake and that was it. GET IT RIGHT IN YOUR HEAD AND DONT LET FEAR ALTER YOUR TECHNIQUE
If you dont have the correct fundamentals of technique ie. pop load ect it will take longer. crashes from some inverts can be nasty. NEVER LET GO, of course unless your board has come off |
