Video editing problem

I have a problem with putting video on my computer. I have a 3 port IEEE 1394 PCI Card (firewire). I have not used it in a while, and when i tried to plug a firewire cable in the card fell out of its slot. I opened up my computer and put the card back in its place, but now when I tried to upload the footage with Adobe Premire 6.5 it would not work. Does anyone know what is wrong. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Did u make sure there wasnt any dust or anything in the way? Also, was the card put back into the slot correctly?

i tried to clean out the dust but there was a lot. I don't know how to put a card into a slot, i just did it like the directions said to.

Maybe thats it. Other than that, you might wanna see if you can upload it with another program and see if its Premier that is screwing up. Hope this helps.

Thanks man, I tried aother programs, but none of them worked. I think I am going to take it to a shop to have it looked at.

Good idea, it gets a little trick when it comes to computers, and its kinda hard to fix em when someone is explaining things to you in text.
