iriver mp3 player + waterproof case + waterproof headphones + neckstrap + armband
click link then click waterproof

I see that this is better than the liquid tunes because:
higher capacity, much cheaper, has lcd display, AA battery (don't need laptop or usb hub to charge if runs out)
there are 2 iriver models, and 2 different kinds of headphones. wondering if the wrap around the neck headphones would/could cause any damage when taking a hard fall to the head.
also, not sure if the headphone plug is secure (could it detach on a hard fall and water leaks into the input hole?)
any helpful comments please before i blow my money. thanks!
also, there is this oregon scientific, doesn't look as fancy, but maybe someone tried these too? looks like good price as well.

Looks too bulky. No arm strap. Head phones would fall off. It is way cheaper though thats for sure. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

| Thanks AOliver, I found that postearlier, but didn't notice the Page 2! Guess 4 AM is a little too late to be browsing. Looks like I'm going to pick one up. I'll post a review with pics after I get it. |

The armband is great, the headphones don't fall off, and it's not that bulky... _________________ Neuston Boards

| So headphones that have behind the ear supports will fall out easier than plain old earbuds? Am I missing something here? |

Yeah, iRiver all the way. Took mine swimming, it all works great. Armband is just fine.
03Belmont, you are welcome to check mine out anytime, just call or IM. _________________ Be an organ donor! My father is alive today because of kind souls that donate life... |

| Maestro, about the headphones, the Liquid Force MP3 players headphones are like ear pluigs and on that other forum someone said you kinda got to twist them in. Anyone that has the Iriver have any comment on the headphones? lol |

| I too am concerned about the headphones. If anyone can post a comparison that would be helpful. I'm also wondering about the weight difference. I know the LF model floats... |

| Read the other post. I think all the people who bought the iriver will suggest to go with it over the LF. But hey, if you want to spend the extra money for a lighter player, go for it. |
