Hey all the girlfriend and I are going to be in Orlando in early March and want to hit up the OWC. Never been to a cable park before so it should be interesting. I noticed on their website they say they have a slalom course and my gf is a big slalom fanatic. Any body have any info ont he OWC slalom course or anything that is not on their site would be appreciated.

Two courses. One on cable, the other behind boat. The cable is at slow speed. The boat is a separate price. Nice setup for slalom. Spend the money on the boat for her.

no.

There are 2 cable course.. one is smaller that has all the sliders and ramps etc, for the more experianced people. anohter cable course is longer that you can ski, kneeboard, do whatever the hell you want, but this one goes slower than the others. if you get there first or theres not many people i think they will let you salom alone like twice and they'll speed up the cable. there is also a boat section where you can pay alot of money and ride behind the boat, with or without coaching. let me know if you got any more questions.

Actually you can ride the slalom course on the big cable at any time of the day and they will speed it up for you at anytime. They will actually stop all the other riders and let her go by herself for about 3-4 laps. They will do this for her about every 20 - 30 minutes depending on how busy it is. You can also book an hour behind the boat and she can get instruction on slalom and you can get instruction on the wakeboard and it's not that expensive.

Thanks for all of the input. I can't wait to get down there. A couple more quick questions. What is the rental equipment like? (Quality & Price) Don't really feel like dragging everything we own down there. Also how different is the cable from behind a boat? I have been riding for about 3 years and am very comfortable behind a boat is there anything I should know about that is different with cable? Also how busy is it generally during the week? We are thinking about going there Thursday March 9th. Again thanks for all the input.

I'm also wondering if anyone that goes often or lives in the area knows some pricing off the top of their head. Cable and boat (is it a 210TE?)

We're flying in on Friday and I was thinking about heading straight over there.

panhead, I would take her somewhere else to ski, it is just to busy for slalom sking. my dad is a serious skier and he makes fun of the skiers on the cable. There are so many different ski schools down here, just do a google search for them; it would be so much better, and cheaper.
