"In this corner.........the bold, the beautiful, the award winning, MASTERCRAFT ...........and in this corner, strait from the arm-pit of California.... the hideous, the ugly the wanabe wakeboarding boat that only wish's it could throw a wake like it's competition.......... the Cala-crapa........
That should start a few fights. _________________ If it doesn't fit, put some lube on it!!! |

Hey, I bet You mastercraft owners have a lot of fun setting around watching me ride behind my Calabria while you are waiting for your waterbags to fill up. Unless of course you have a new x-star with Calabria's PureVert system that Mastercrap had to pay for the right to use. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

Thats a good comeback. Did you come up with that all by yourself or are a bunch of your dorky friends all sitting around you telling you what to write? _________________ If it doesn't fit, put some lube on it!!! |

X-Star,
Are your friends from the Matercrap Pic Post here yet to back you up? Hey man I feel for you. Obviously you like to follow the pack, instead of making your own choices. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

While nothing comes close to the Pure Vert system for convenience, the MasterCraft ballast doesn't take THAT long, only 4 minutes to fill and 4 minutes to empty (basically the time it takes for a rider to get set up in the water) |

without getting involved.....Xstar, have you been behind the wheel of a Calabria or wakeboarded behind one? I have driven lots of boats, MC included, and it doesn't stand a chance with handling for one. Hence the booster seat they added to the captains chair. And if weighted both boats, the wakes are rather similar in size. The proV is a lot more rampy, taking you into the flats easier in my opinion. But then again, I practically bleed Calabria, so I am not the best one to get into all the techinical crapt with. I am biased...sorry.

See what you started Bill!. Xstar is running for reinforcements. I am sure he will find about 10,000 followers (mastercrap owners) to come in here and talk crap about a boat that they probably have never seen. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

| you dont need the tanks filled up on the mastercraft, because with all the PHAT friends that want to ride in your boat. it gives you enough weight. how lond has Calabria been around? you cant rag on a legend. i know one thing your, your not going to win this war because there are alot more MC fans then Calabria fans |

I understand that they actually brainwash kids in Tennessee into believeing that Mastercraft is best. With all the boats that they crank out I bet half of the state works for them. No wonder you like Mastercraft, your whole family probably works for them. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

I think the Calabria ad reads, "Make your own Rules, Don't be a follower."
While you need all your friends in your boat to make a phat wake, I don't. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

| I've driven the Cal-Air Pro-V and thought it was awesome. Handled very nicely and threw a nice wake. Although I didn't like it quite as much as the X2 for my needs, the Pro-V is definitely a great boat. |

I am really sorry if I hurt your feelings. I really do like mastercrafts but i wonder why more people buy the x-star or now named x-2 instead of the x-30? I would think that I would rather have the x-30 because of the size. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

Don't start talking technical. They don't know what to look for in a good boat and they won't know what you are talking about. They saw x-star on the side of a boat on tv (the x games) and went out and bought one. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |

calair03,
The fact is, is that we all have nice boats. We should be happy we are all accomplished enough to afford these boats. There is no need to bash on every one that doesn't have a Calabria. You like your boat and I like mine. Your boat is nice, but there is nothing special about it that makes it that much beter than anybody elses boat. _________________ If it doesn't fit, put some lube on it!!! |

X-Star, Except the ballast system, Handling , Storage, and in the Gelcoat graphics. On the other side lets not forget the bow dipping nose feature. _________________ Travis Farber |

Or you can get a cal air and get a big hunk of plastic stuck on the end. Aren't cookie cutters plastic these days? Nice Teak. Is that notch good for something or a manufacturers defect they didn't notice? I do like the vinyl graphics on the sun deck. Cool looking. Does the tower come in any other colors? As for the pics. I like the top pic unless the flames are reversed in color on the bottom. White flames? Uh, uh. Also, that deck yellow will get pretty hot in the sun all day. I prefer the color on the sides of the boat and the top deck white to keep the surface temps down. Just my 2 cents... _________________ Go Boat! |

I like the black one in Phaetons post-
Good to see you back Phaeton I haven't seen you post for a bit or am I just looking at the wrong threads....
Calair03- have you ever been behind the wheel of a cookie cutter boat?
Boats are like cars they make one for everyone because not everyone likes the same thing.

hey Cal Air...
I like the blue one best.
If you want to get a hand made boat that is not one of the big three, then have a look at the Svfara. It's made in Canada, and it looks hot. The tower they show on the site isn't the greatest (plus it's a 7 grand tower) but I've heard good things about their boats.
just lettin ya know. _________________ 500 up |

hey Phaeton.
i have never dipped the nose of my boat under. might i add that it is the deepest V hull you can get in a wakeboarding boat. and if you are dipping your nose then you need to learn how to drive |

| Cal air 03 Stop picking the MC guys. Its not there fault they bought the hype mass advertising for sheep (my neighbor has one so it must be great) We know how good the boat is and thats all that matters. |

Yeah, I dont like being "picked". Furthermore, what exactly is "hype mass advertising for sheep?" Finally, what do you care whether MC owners like "their" boats or not, it doesn't seem to have any bearing on your ejoyment of your blue Pro-V? Unless you NEED to cut other people down. If you seriously bought a boat solely because it was different from the rest, then I feel sorry for you. My friend recently bought a Pro-V. HE bought it because it was the best boat for his family. He loved the ample storage, Pure-Vert system and the way the boat handled. I doubt the unique look of the boat mattered much to him in consideration of the other factors (this is not to say that he didn't like the boat's looks or anything though). You should buy a boat to fit your personal needs and what you like the most. If you want to be unique, give yourself a mohawk and color your hair purple, that would make a statement!
To take your logic, and I use the term loosely, to it's natural conclusion, it seems if you wanted to buy a car you would buy a 1988 Yugo because nobody else drives them. Get off your high horse and just be happy that you own a boat that you love. Calling a person a "sheep" because of a particular boat they happen to own makes it seem like you have some type of an inferiority complex. Good luck with that. |

ltw235,
I don't think xxxl is meaning it to the knowledgable mastercraft buyers such as yourself. You tried the others and made the decision based on your needs. I would guess that most buyers only buy those boats because they say x-star on the side and their friends will think they are really cool. They never spend the time to try the others like you did. _________________ Calabria Boats Rule! |
