Well vote on the poll above and/or post your favorite 2005 or 2006 board here and why you like it so much. Pics of your set-up are cool too! Just thought this might be interesting for this years board buyers... including myself! On the poll are my top 8 choices for my board this year (in no real order).

Omega is in your top 8 but there is only 1 CWB, 1 Hype, and no other brands?

For me I can't really say cause I haven't rode any of them yet, but
-Absolute Plat. hasn't changed much so it's still a great board
-Krown Elites are still great board
I will probably get at least one of those two boards.

Something tells me that this is more of a "which board do you think looks the coolest" poll and not neccessarily a "which board should I get" poll. My point being is that anyone looking into gettin a new board should do alot more research on how a board rides first. Not to bash your idea or anything aceofdymondz, after all, I voted as well. Then again theres always the possibility that Im wrong, its happened before!!

RufioSwashbuckle, no these just seem to be the most popular... and i've been buying lf for years and love 'em so that's why there are so many lf boards... but yeah the graphics on all these boards are pretty tight!

if you guys like any other brands of boards post here and tell me why... the boards in the poll aren't my only options... just some i've heard a lot about...

ashley...

The Headless Chicken, matt1808, I don't know if this girl is just beginning or not but the omega is great for anyone who is learning....maybe this was like the practical choice haha. I rode with Jaret Brantley from LF last year with the TAA ( the dude totally rips and is right before the higest level of sponsorship) and he swore by it, as well as tore up the tennessee river with it.

The Watson may be the best looking board I've ever seen.

I've been told it might be a little too advanced for me, so I'll stick with the PS3.

Jama, I didn't mean that it wasn't a good board, but it just doesn't fit with the boards that are up there.

scott a, all of the others are pretty agressive three stage boards but the omega is continuous. nothing against the omega it just doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of the choices.

The Headless Chicken, matt1808, sorry my fault I thought you were saying it was a crappy board. I see your point now.

I'm considering a J-Star Empire (Rusty M's pro model). I haven't read anything about any 06 J-Star decks on these forums. Anyone one else thinkin J-Star for this season?

Jama, Wakeboarddrumma, i wouldn't really say that i'm a beginner... this'll be my 3rd year wakeboarding and i'm currently trying to learn a backroll and a 360... so maybe i'm not that pro either... but i'm looking for a board with lots of pop though... i've been riding ben greenwood's board from '04 the fusion 139 (i'm 6'1" so yeah i'm pretty tall and need a mens board)... would the ps3 be too advanced?

ashley.

The Headless Chicken, the omega has a hybrid rocker just like the transcend.

scott a, liquid force and their damned names for rocker types. they call the omega a conitnuous hybrid and the transcend is a subtle three stage. i didnt realize they were the same.

Everyone I have ever talked to has loved the Omega.
scott a, why doesn't premier fit in most board racks? Is it really that thick?

is it just me or does the new shane board seem almost as wide as a fish? i haven't ridden it yet but the watson and shane boards seem really wide. I like the shape of the ps3. The new premier doesnt seem like a classic premier. The shape doesnt look as agressive as the old ones. I am going to have a lot of demoing to do before i decide on my next board

kyle, the shane board incorporates some of the fish's design. its a bit wider so it basically rides like its 1cm longer than it actually is (same with the watson), and it also has the two molded in fins plus two cupped fins on each end. the shane's rails are also round to help it roll from toe to heel edge easier.

and the new premier is just too thick to fit in some of the board racks i tried to fit it in. this includes pro flights and the illusion-x racks. i was just too lazy to try to fit it in any other racks. its mainly because of the jib rib things in the bottom of the premier. the murray is also pretty thick, probably due to the abs sidewalls that they have. if you take the jib things out of the premier im sure it'll fit in racks no problem.

I'm with scott a on the Omega. It is one of, if not the, most underrated boards out there right now. I ride quite a few different boards and last year that was my favorite. This year I'll be rockin' a PS3 which feels VERY similar to an Omega...just a hair more kick off the wake.
