|
|
| I am installing an auto ballast system in my 98 VLX. I am not sure of the best place to put the thru hull in the bottom. My first thought was next to the intake for the engine on the opposite side except that is where the depth finder and water temp is. I am thinking of putting it next to the depth finder/water temp. either to the side or in front of it. I don't think this will affect anything but I thought I might get a few opinons before I break out the hole saw. Any opinions or better placement? |

I have the same question, but my space is even more limited because I have perfect pass:
---
Anyone have any recommendations and/or pictures on where to install a thru-hull scoop on my 98' VLX with Perfect Pass?
I am using a 1.25" scoop, to a 90 degree fitting, to a brass ball valve so I need quite a bit of room, not only to thread on the ball valve, but to open and close the valve. I could also get rid of the 90 degree fitting and just go straight up if I had the room.

| I am going to be putting in perfect pass too. Where is your perfect pass paddlewheel? |

It's in front of the depth finder transducer (on the port side), I think like 6 inches from the center of the boat.
I'll take a picture if you want.
