| i was pondering this question while looking through the "post pics of your then and now" thread. do you think, 5 years from now, all of these 2005/06 model wake boats will be considered "old school"?? and, like many of us who upgraded from old 90's ski boats, we will be forced to upgrade again to continue progressing? my final thought was no, because i feel we've reached that special point.... |

I have an '88 Mastercraft Tri Start 190 and the thing doesn't looking its age one bit. I tell people its an '88 and they are like, "Wow, really?"
The thing pulls skiers great, Throws an awesome wake when I have a few people in it, its open bow, plenty of power.....Why would I buy a new boat?
Most importantly, its PAID for! |

Marketing will always tell us that a newer boat will progress our riding, whether you believe it or not is up to the consumer. Some of the best riders I have ever seen ride behind 2001's and the like.
I think the ultimate issues will be whether the fiberglass hulls will withstand the ever increasing amounts of weight we are stuffing in these boats. _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |
