Has anyone done their own shower install on their boat?
I may try it, I was quoted a price of $900 by the dealer!(2002 x-star)

If anyone here has any pics of their own installs, I would like to see them.

Hey goinbig143,

I bought the mixing valve from Aquatik, the pump off e-bay and fabricated the rest including a QC thru the transom...there are pics around here somewhere...here's the quick connect link:
http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=42589&highlight=quick+connect

The shower gets it's hot side from the engine block and cold from a "T" on the PRESSURE side (after) the raw water pump. The shower demand pump actually sucks the mixed water thru the system...that's why you only need one pump. Mine only comes on when you activate the push buttom on the shower head (can also be switched off electically at the helm.)

If you need more explanation/moral support feel free to pm me. This is definitely a DIY and will cost you $200 +/- plus a day of running hose and cutting-in the mixing valve panel.

Wes
