I am looking at purchasing a 22v Supra 2002 thru 2005. Anything I should look out for when looking at the boat?
Thanks,

Hey. Just noticed you were looking for a used 22SSV. I'm not sure if you've seen it but I have one for sale here:
http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=51764
The boat is in great condition. I'm just over in Arkansas and can help with delivery if needed. I'm in the Rogers/Springdale area a lot. Let me know if you need any more info or if you have questions.
Supra hasn't changed much on the 22SSV since 03, same basic design, same hull, deck, etc. I would just check engine hours, how the boat was serviced, vinyl condition, how clean it is, etc. |

Saw it yesterday The only thing to look at is the price, and then look at your wallet, then look at yourself in the mirror and know you got a great boat with everything you "really" need for a considerbale amount less than the big 3.
The only thing I've heard of being wrong wiht a few is the TPS (throttle psotion sensor) I've heard of quite a few being replaced under warranty. Also note that on every supra I've been on, mine included the quick connects on the sacs leak unless they've been "fixed"
I'm not a fan of the double up seting either. It takes up valuable storage space.....I turned it into a speaekr box holding 2 10's. |

Thanks forthe info guys. I have never owned a wakeboard boat. Have driven other boats for 25 yrs. I have experience driving a 24' runabout, 38 scarab, 54' bluewater cruiser so I dont thing handling the boat will be a problem.
I am looking for a wakeboard boat to get the kids into water sports.
I have been slalom skiing for several years but havent wakeboarded in a while. My main concern on a boat is fit and finish, build quality, ride quality and reliability. I am only familiar with wakeboard boats from what I have seen on the interenet. Never even ridden in one.
I am not sure what the double up seating is.
The range of boat for me was spending around $35k meeting around 22' long, and years 2002 thru 2005. Supra seems to fit in this range.
Again thanks for the info,

| I have noticed on some Supras it has a tab that has a hydraulic ram on them. Others I have notices that have a tab that has 2 metal braces on them. Are these adjustable while driving? |

| Only the wakeplates with the hydraulic ram can you adjust when moving. The others you have to srew up or down by hand. |

I think Jon Adjusted that last post by hand - twice. But he is right. The wakeplate is a very usefull thing. I am another 22ssv owner - 2003. There isn't much to tell - Adam & Jon covered most it. If the sensor hasn't gone out by now - 200 hrs plus - its most likely ok, the sac thing anyone here can tell you how to fix it, if its not fixed already. I went to extreme's on that one. Replaced the rear sacs with tanks.
Too bad it wasn't a year from now - I might be selling
Have fun shopping _________________ Wake, skate or surf

acurtis_ttu,
Not to shanghi this post but do you have any pics of your 2 x 10" subs? As I understand it you have them under the rear seat. Amp size etc. I'm looking to throw a sub and amp in my 03' and I'm looking for ideas. I got leaky bags as well (lousy way to go through life!). Was thinking about GG bags or a cheaper equivalent. Thanks...jg |
