Just got mine done yesterday. I'll post pics as soon as I develop the film. It is the tribal style writing that spells my daughter's name around my arm.

the actual tattooing took 45 minutes, it took em a while to draw it though.

Dont take this the wrong way forwaken your tatt is cool but i HATE tribal. everyone and there brother has it! I must say tho i havent seen anone make words or names with it so i think thats pretty cool.

I understand what your saying Dungeon. I think everyone and their mother has tribal too, but it was something that I wanted as soon as she was born 4 years ago. It was hard to find an artist that could come up with something I liked though. The pic doesn't get the full tattoo there is one more "E" and some design next to it and the "K". I wanted it to go all the way around but when he drew it, I knew it wasn't going to because it was on 11.5 paper and it took so long to draw I was happy with what he had done. When we have another kid I am going to do the same on the other arm and fill in this one to make it all the way around.

got 7, but 2 are cover ups (young and dumb I guess) and then added to. Got a sleeve on my shoulder, all black tribal. I've bot the 'ripper' (power Peralta, skateboard logo) on the other arm, and if anyone knows Henry Rollins, I have the sun on his back on my ribs., And it hurt like you wouldn't believe.

you know alot of people get tattoos that dont really have any meaning to them and that annoys the crap out of me. a girl i know got a tattoo of a rocket on her arm so that she could get into this one paticualr bands shows for free, there shows only cost about $5.00 to get into anyway. (i think the band name is rocket from the crypt cant remember for sure tho.) I understand why people get things they like its all about art and decorating your body. I dont think that tattooing is a way to make your self a walking billboard. its just not right, Unless there paying you the big bucks, even then i wouldnt do it. I'll only get tattoos that have some kind of personal meaning to me or things that go with my tattoos to make them tie together. I plan on getting my entire back and possably some short sleves done all with butterflys (fire, wind, water, and earth for wings) and some vines and flowers to tie them together. Butterflys have alot of personal meaning to me. I think they stand for hope and hope is something that pulled me through some really crappy things i went through as a child/teen. I'm not going to go into why i want what i want but i will make my point. I think that getting tattoos is about personal expression and creativity not "ooh look at me i have a tattoo". OOH that reminds me of another thing.....i HATE it when someone sees my tattoo and says "oh you have a tattoo" and then feels the need to touch it. dang it it for 1 it feels just like skin and for 2 i dont know where that fingers been dont touch me. after they touch my tattoo they feel it nessacery to show me there tattoo of a heart or flower or some other random flash picture they picked off the wall at the tattoo shop and about 200 other people have. Mad

Ok i'm going to quit ranting. I just woke up so if this post makes no since its becouse i'm still sleepy.....i think i'll go back to bed now. Wink

dp - i see what you're saying. your tat is really pretty and the fact that you got it for a personal meaning is really great. i love the idea of the butterfly's on your back too - cant wait to see those when its done

If I were to get a tatoo I would want the korean symbol for water. Reason being cause I love the water and Taekwondo which originated from Korea.
