I'm going to be riding all old stuff for now, because I decided to go to camp this summer (westcoast)...but I think its going to be well worth it. The only new item that I got is the Proline LG Handle and I must say it is the sweetest handle I have ever felt hands down. I may end up buying some 06 gear when it goes on sale after summer though, thinking about the watson with either the zeus' or watson bindings.

Se7en, man I'm lovin' the setups! I really loved that Watson board but I was told that I would like the PS3 much better.
Let's see some pics...

Well I see the PS3/Watson combo is going to be popular this year. What is it- 4 of us already with that setup?
Anybody gonna be riding the new Fish? The Fish/Sphynx setup would be sick!

The most incredible setup ever!!
Nick, congrats on going to West Coast Camps! You are going to have the best week of your life!! My roommate(Ryan) is a coach there and it is the best place on earth. Be sure to ride with Rod(another friend/coach there), hes a great coach and funny as heck. You'll have a selection of boards to try if you wish when your there, from Hype, Krown & probably a few from LF too.

I just got my 06 Murray 142 last week which i'm totally stoked to ride! But I haven't decided which bindings to go with yet. I love the look of the murrays, but you obviously can't go on looks alone, so i will have to wait to try some on.
Gotta love the gladiator helmet and the new murray logo!

bassmanjoshis, ,I wouldnt suggest any of the Hyperlite closed toe bindings. I havent ridden them personally, but I checked them out at our boat show and I must say that I was none too impressed. I pressed down on the toe part of the binding and it felt like it was just one thin piece of rubber, or fabric, or whatever it is. You could feel where the padded overlay started ontop of the toes. It just seemed like these would collapse with time and not offer any more heelside leverage to begin with. It was the same with both the murrays and the 3ds's in both places I went to. Now the Shanes on the other hand had a very solid toe piece, as if they were actually trying to make it work and give you that extra leverage, rather than just relying on looks alone. My point being that I thought the Hype's were a joke and were just looking for style points, while the LF Shanes are actually supposed to work. Anyone?

RufioSwashbuckle, LF will swear up and down that they do in fact work.
Physics dictates otherwise, but whatever. People believe in God and yet they cannot physically prove he/she exists.
Faith in LF?
I completely agree on your take of the HL closed toe binders.

chavez, I aint sayin' that the Shanes will or will not work...In fact I dont see the point in closed toe bindings anyways. It just seemed to me like LF put alot more effort into making a quality product reguardless of whether or not it actually works. And I'm not bashing Hype either, I must say that Ive taken quite a liking to the new Era's, Parks, and Byerly's.

I think the HL closed toes look great but if there is a function, they don't got it. Opposite for LF. They look rediculous, but at least the toe cover is rigid.
The only plausable boot innovation that I have tried on is the hinge. I have never felt a boot like that. Amazing. Not crazy about the silver but they are amazingly comfortable and the heel hold blew me away.

RufioSwashbuckle, i'm glad you wouldnt suggest the bindings without even riding them. shows that you knoiw so much about wakeboarding. I've been riding a pair of the 06 3DS CLOSED TOED for a couple weeks now and i dont think i would go back to a regular binding. I'm putting them to the fullest try out going as big and doing the most technical tricks that i can, and i feel that over a one week period, my consistency has actually increased. The toe covering is stretchy and when you put your foot into the binding, the cushioning surrounding your toes is unbelievable, it makes the landings on big glides seem effortless.
B_Fool, the soft toes when your foot is in the binding cannot really be felt.
