Hey guys,

I am in the midst of hooking up my new tower speakers. I am wondering if I drill in location 1 will I be able to suck the wire through. I would think there isn't a hole in the tubing where the rectangle tubing meets the circle tubing. Thus you wouldn't be able to suck the wire through....And I would be forced to drill in location 2

I am almost sure you could use #1 but it might be harder to pull the wire trough. I went with #2.

Why would they cut out the wall of the circle tube where the rectangle tube meets it? I am thinking I should just go with #2. Make it easier and not too much risk

well i am pretty sure with most welding thats how they do it. They cut it on both pieces so that when they weld they can get a more precise job.

Piece 2 is round tubing and it is very doubtful there is a hole for a wire to pass through. Drilling in the oval piece may be opening up a can of worms.

Another, albeit imperfect, option would be to drill from the outside of the tower, through both sides of the round tube to create a hole to run the wire between the two pipe.
