im am gettin a huge floating dock for free from my freind and i was wonderin what kind of slider i should build on it. i was thinkin an a-frame but im not sure

Depends how wide it is.
I would make an A frame for sure.
You could also make a kicker on the long side, perpendicular to the A frame. It would be somewhat low, but that way if you were to approach it at 90 degrees to the A frame you could have the kicker come up close to the lip of the A frame

I like the idea of the kicker as well as the slider. Whenever i go to hit my slider, no matter how well anchored it is it always seems to be the wrong way. With the kicker and the slider you would always have an option.

depending on how long it is put an a-frame with sides and sink it a little for a wall ride
