im working on my winter projects. today i got finished with my homemade sand sacs. i used the idea of the fat sac shape and picked up 2 nice sized duffel bags. i remade the liner so it could do with weight. im planning on filling with sand, they each weigh close to 600 lbs full, and just chuck them on the dock when u dont need them, so ill do 600 on each side of the engine. a 350 in the back, and the wedge, hows that sound?

Nice, but that is going to be really heavy and difficult to move around thats all that i can say would be bad about it... You also wouldn't want it to break haha, sand all through your boat wouldn't be great.
But good luck with it mate. _________________ .: McPie :.

i know, but the bags are reinforced, so like triple thick, they'll be heavy, but with a few people to help it will be all good

Sounds like a pain in the ass. Any ballast other than water is going to be a pain. Do you keep your boat in the water all the time or do you trailer it? Are you going to be able to leave the bags on the dock?

I would laugh if when throwing these things onto the dock, it goes straight through cause they are so heavy
Well good luck with them mate, if they work, post some pics in here for us to see. _________________ .: McPie :.
