Any tips? I know I let the handle too high. Any tips to keep it lower? Should I cut harder? I know on the first I start to go towards scarecrow but thats the only time its ever happened so pay more attention to the second. It seems to be my routine fall. Thanks in advance

Just got in from more attempts. They seemed to be about the same. I cut a little harder and kept the handle down better but I still landed on my butt. One time I got a lot of pop (maybe I hit a mini double up, IDK) and rotated and as I was upside down I tried to kick my heels under me like Higher Education says. I got a little further but then got stuck. Like I was a little more over the board than usual but not quite enough to land it and I couldnt get it. I just fell like 3 feet in that position.
Any advice?

You have to hold the handle at your hips with both hands until just before you land to get the rotation. Have someone watch you and let you know if you let go of the handle each time you try it. You're letting the handle out while you're still on the wake, which is costing you both pop and rotation.
This trick is easiest if you rail at the wake. Come at it hard and don't let off. Bend forward at the waist as you're coming up the wake and let the wake really kick you around through your board and hips which will be behind your center of gravity.
If you don't overrotate this trick the board will slide out from under you so make sure you get good rotation and "take a bow" as you land.

Here is my latest sequence...I had some that were bigger but same results but this is the only one I have from a vid. It was like a month ago but I just made the seq yesterday. Im going to FL so im gonna hopefully try some more down there next week. Any more tips before I go?
Edit: O yea, do you think I should grab it Indy since I already let go with my back hand? It seems like that would help me stay balled up

I am having the same problems as you with my frontroll... I also figured I would try to grab it indy.. but never got around to try it.
But unfortunately it is winter time now, 3 months waiting before I can try again.
I think the handle at the hip is the best tip.. really focus on that.
keep us informed about your progress..!

Deffinately cut in a lot harder, and try to land on your chest. Overrotate them more than you think you should, thats what helped me.

cut really really hard, try to get the board perpendicular to the wake (even though you won't). When you get to the TOP of the wake square up and throw your shoulders and head down. When you rotate it look to the shore and you should be good.

| Your toeside edge needs to be stronger. Make sure you are leaning against your back arm so your chest is more closed. It looks a little open in the picture you have.

Hold on with both hands till right before you land. Just put the handle in your pocket.

| Do you have crows? They are easier to learn and you can underrotate them.

| I wish I would have learned frontrolls before crows. I can do crows all day, and they look ok, but I whip them out behind me instead of flipping over then rotating. Now, because I learned crows first, I'm having the hardest time learning frontrolls because I always go into a crow. I'm getting better now tho, but I've been working on it for quiet a while. If I had learned the roll first, the crow would be much better and it would set me up for a crow mobe much better as well.

I learned frontroll first and I think thats one thing thats keeping me from grabing my crow.

| why would that be keeping you from it? I'm having trouble grabbing mine because I whip it around and it seems like I have to much tension on the rope or something. I feel like if I could do more of a frontflip first, I would be able to grab it easier. As soon as I let go, it feels like I go into a TS raley or something, and I get yanked all over the place. I want to have a more controlled flip, then maybe I'll be able to grab it. I suppose were getting off the topic tho, but from what I've been TOLD, all of the above advice is very good, I've heard it before, and I just gotta put it into action and hopefully I'll have this trick myself soon.
