| .... and only one boat to be stuck with forever, what would it be? Any year, any model, any price, but you only get one boat. Also, why would it be that particular boat over all others?

I assume that I would take the Octopus. That is the quick and easy answer. That is assuming I could afford to keep it running.
If we are talking realistic terms, thus "real" boats. I don't have boat envy. I have the boat I want.
In the middle, I could survive with a 70 odd foot Somerset houseboat outfitted to push the cost over the 1 million dollar range. That would be very enticing for visitors to provide me with a tow boat for watersports.

| I have to agree with the X-star. There are a lot of great boats. If you bass fish you get a triton, If you need a cruiser(take your pick), if you need to fish the flats in the keys go with a whaler or a maco. I've got a Malibu wakesetter and it is great, but I wish it were an X. Someday, I hope not too soon, I'm sure that I will be asking what the best pontoon is. I will log onto Pontooner.com. If I do, Please kill me.

I would take a large RIVA or maybe a yacht designed by myself with a supra as a dingy

I would want Rochester NY's new Fast Ferry, the Breeze. It's the only boat you can own and then force the rest of the city to pay for each time there is a million-dollar breakdown, which is about once or twice a season.

i think i would take anything that throws a wake and makes its own gas. i have kinda gave up wakeboarding due to injuries and my health is more important to me. and wakeskating doesn't require much of a wake, so i'm not that picky, just broke.

Haugy: Can you imagine the heads you'd turn when you pulled into the marina/harbor in that! The 118 model that I posted pics of sleeps 6 people with 3 crew berths, has a zodiac hidden under the front deck and has a cruising speed of 60 knots. Not to mention it just looks bad @ss.

boardordie, my bad, I was reading about the Wally 70 the other day in Power & Motoryacht. It only sleeps a few. Yeah it would definitely turn heads. Looks like some kinda future pirate boat or somthing.
I'd be lying if I didn't agree on the looks bad ass thing. I just don't like how the interior design looks. A little to oddly modern for me. I like classic wood and stuff. Gawd I sound like an old man.

Haugy: Did you check out any of the specs for the 118?
Engines - 3 gas turbines rated at 5600 HP = 16,800 HP
Fuel Capacity = 5812 US gallons
Cruising Speed = 60 knots = 69 MPH
Fuel Consumption @ 60 knots = 15 gal per 1.15 US miles
Based on $2.25 per gallon it would take $13,077 to fill the tanks and it would take $33.75 to go 1.15 miles at 69 MPH! I guess if you can afford the boat the fuel isn't that big a deal.
