It's pretty hard to get good at, but it's the most fun thing you can ever do.

wake_master007, WTF?
Why ALL THE FOCKING HATE ALLLLLLLLLL THE TIME ON THIS PLACE!
damn!!!!!!!!!

Back on topic.. yes, getting up is pretty easy, as long as the boat driver keeps slack on the line before starting.. It takes a little more work to get up, but becomes natural.

Once up, crusing around is cool, but, yes, it is harder to nail tricks.

Nick Taylor, I can think of a few things that are more fun than wakeskating (let's seee.. Jenny, Michelle, Amber, ...etc, etc...etc..)

How odd...
Well, as my dad used to say... put 2 bags over her head, in case the first one falls off.. make sure there is a big enough hole

Mr. Top Hat, and you know ugly my friend... Laughing

Skating is something I do to get better balance, change up the day, and make my medical insurance company drop me via skates and sliders!

haha some named "wakepro" comes on and posts pics (of himself?) wakeboarding and asks what the deal is with skating.

dude, if you were that good, you would be riding for a board company. if you were riding for a board company chances are you would already have had access to a skate numerous times and would have tried it.

I don't know that that's him...those pictures look like an old cwb rider, chris kolb (or something...I don't know if he still rides for them or not). anyway...i don't think those pics are of himself.

Wakeskates arent expensive, they will run like $100 max $200. However if you by accidentally stumble upon one at the Sports Authority without a price tag. The people there will give it to you for about $20. At least thats how I got mine. And for those of you that are wondering, that is the only wake related thing I actually bought at the Sports Authority. It was more of an accident.

It's like a skateboard. Learn a skate trick and transfer to the water.

I realy wouldn't know about the tricks, what I said was from word of mouth. All I can really do on a skate is ride, switch it, and lip slide and butter grinds. I wouldn't be the expert by any means on a skate.

yeah, I'm learning how to skateboard right now... and from my recent experience, I think I would much rather hit the water while learning than the concrete

haha... what's up kyle... i agree... went back up and read Scott's post, and I know plenty of people who are as good as the guy in the pic and are not riding for a company, and some of them have never tried wakeskating even if they have had access to one... remember, TOO it's not always about how good the rider is... it's how good the photographer is

I love Skating, I suck at it, but damn its FUN. We took the fins off my board and just did a bunch of stupid surface tricks. Seeing how many Surface 360's we could do in a row. Then we laid down on it on our stomachs and held on to the handle. Busted my mouth but fun as hell. I bought a LF .... can't remember which one, it has the plain wooden bottom with silver writting. I bought it for like 70Bucks closeout last year. It was a great investment.

And as far as your question of how hard it is... I had three buddies who could NOT get up on a wakeboard, they jumped out on a wakeskate and had it down in less than five tries. Its all about different things for different people.
