I just received my ballast puppy which came with a pre-wired switch. Any advice before I hook it all up? Where should I add an in-line fuse?

Hey wakefan,

The fuse goes in the + side (no reason to fuse the - side) there're a couple "schematics" on how to hook up a DPDT switch around the forum if you search.

Basically, what you're doing is switching the polarity of the wires going to the motor so it'll run in reverse...

Also make sure you supply plenty of amperage to that...well, puppy. There have been incidences posted about those pumps not reversing - I suspect some of that is due to lousy wiring...maybe some teflon grease on the impeller?

Wes

wiring is pretty basic, and when you get it right the pump is great
