My, oh My! The Wings really got spanked.

I heard a sweep like this hasn't happened since the 60s?

That was incredible!!!! Can't believe a team of that caliber can get run like that, but a hot goalie will do that for you.

How about 3 overtimes in the Leafs-Flyers game?

NHL Playoffs - nothing like it!!!!

Yeah - that is a tough way to go. No matter who wins that series, neither will go much further in my opinion. Too much hockey played in that series - almost 2 added games in overtime!

Awesome game though.... Series is tied, so you have as good a chance as they do, especially since you have Mogilny coming back. Bad news is you play Ottowa next if you win (I think?) and the Islanders aren't giving them much competition....shocker that. Only one overtime game in that series.

Toronto always beats Ottawa, that will be a great series if it happens.

There is a HUGE rivalary between the 2, Battle of Ontario!!!

I don't think the Wings got spanked. They were all tight games. The way I see it, 1 mistake every game lost the series. Flipping Dandenault giving up on the high sticking call... My god what was he thinking?

Oh well 3 cups in 6 seasons ain't all bad, eh? Go Leafs Go... (Did I just say that?)

We'll see what happens this year. Toronto better worry about Round 1 first.

All I can say is I love having hockey on three different channels at the same time.
I wish the entire season was like this, I love it.....

Go Colorado!

jt09, the oilers are going to destroy dallas in game 6 and then we will head back to the library in Dallas to play game 7. What a weak playoff atmosphere, almost as bad as your ice Smile

I was at the Oilers game 6 lastnight and it was crazy. There was a guy in our section wearing a modano jersey and after the game people started giving him a rough time and it turned into a brawl between the bottom half of our section. Then there was a fight in the hallway leaving skyreach and another fight outside with at least 15 people in it.

How's the playoff atmosphere up there now Brad? Oops, my bad, I guess there isn't any more playoff atmosphere up there. I am sure the Stars would thank the good people of Edmonton for the superior ice and intense atmosphere. Thank goodness we played Game 6 there as I don't know if the Stars could have handled the Oilers at home in game 7. I guess history just has a way of repeating itself, eh? Thank goodness for fans like the Oilers have though; class acts that beat down an opposing fan, we need more of those in sports today! Rolling Eyes

Jt09, first off, you cant knock the playoff atmosphere in Edmonton. The Stars would be the first to admit we have amazing crowds and Edmonton truely on of, if not the best hockey city. As far as the game goes, yeah i was wrong, but of course i am going to support my team and push for game 7. As for the fights after the game with the Dallas fans that was a very rare thing at Skyreach. In the Edmonton Journal this morning they had inteviewed 2 Stars fans that made the trip from Texas, who said they were amazed with the politness and hospitality showed towards them. Oh and i never said anywhere in anything i wrote before that it is right to be fighting the fans of other teams, i was actually pretty shocked to see it and disapointed as an oiler fan, and a Canadian to see it.

Brad - I never knocked the Oilers or the atmosphere...I was being facetious in saying that the Stars wanted to win in Edmonton to avoid going back to play in that library with the weak ice and playoff atmosphere.

I can appreciate smack talk about as well as anyone, but be careful what you spit out on the boards (and how you say it....), because what you say/write stays out there...especially when talking smack you can't (personally) back up...and your team has been run out of the playoffs by the Stars 5 out of the last 6 seasons...and lost 3 out of 4 to the Stars this year.

Glad to hear you weren't condoning the fighting. I have been the Stars fan in a hostile environment (Joe Louis Arena) and had all kinds of crap thown, yelled, threatened and gestured at just for cheering a go ahead goal in the final 8 minutes of play. A bit of taunting on my part would have triggered a brawl no doubt about it - good thing I am not big on getting my a$$ kicked or going to jail.

5 out of 6 is bad. The only one we ever won was in 97 with Marchants overtime goal and people here still talk about it, infact they played it on the scoreboard before the game. The sad thing is everyone in Edmonton loves playing the stars even though we know how hard it will be to win, but it makes for one of the best series in the playoffs. I will always talk smack about the oilers (in good fun) and back my team, especially against the Stars, even if i know we will lose.

No worries Brad! But your team has GOT to get better in the regular season and quit finishing 6-7-8 in the West every year to have a shot.

The NHL has dropped the ball BIG TIME on tonight's Game 7s. How do they expect these guys to play back to back playoff games? And 2 of the games went to OT. As good as the Leafs-Flyers series has been, I think tonight's game will suck comparitively - those teams have played almost 8 games worth of hockey already.

My favorite teams are the Ducks and Colorado. Too bad Colorado lost to the Wild, but thats the way the cookie crumbles. Wow, thats a really corny saying.

How GREAT are these playoffs turning out for the Stars?!?!?!?!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

The only two teams I was worried about are gone in the first round! I just hope the Wild has blown their wad and the Ducks goalie has cooled off while waiting for the second round to start!

YES!! The Leafs are out and the canucks are in... up 3-1 on the Wild in the most boring series I've ever seen. The wild just put you to sleep and score every chance they get, it works but it is so boring to watch, anyways, I thought I'd put a few pictures here to rub it in the Leaf fans faces Laughing

DAMN DUCKS!!! The worst thing about losing in the playoffs is losing to a team named after a crappy kids movie........

What an NHL Playoff though....top 3 in the West are out...Philly and Toronto out in the East.

I cannot believe the Mighty Ducks won!! They do have a REALLY good goalie though. Poor Dallas... I wanted them to win it all.

Hehe...Wild win! I really don't care much for hockey, but watching the Wild in the playoffs has been a lot of fun. The Wild are just taunting other teams...letting them have a large lead in the series and then just snatching it away to make the defeat much more painful! Laughing
