Ive heard about perfect pass or something like that.Any time i do a search i always come up with some off the wall crap that has nothing to do with what im looking for, so please dont tell me to search for it ,i have.
where can i get it?are there any other systems like it, that are just as good?I dont know much about them or even where to get the info at.So any comments from people that have them, or have used them would be great.Would this help people who cant drive a boat and maintain a good speed that well?

www.perfectpass.com

If you have an i/o it may be worth it to check out this post http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=50249&highlight=perfect

As for getting it.. You may be able to order it off their site, or your local dealer may be able to order it in...

I'm also looking into this for this summer:)

If you are going to order Perfect Pass, skidim.com will have the best price.

gvb, seconded.

lofosho_97, There are other speed control systems but none are as well recieved as PP, its pretty much the industry standard - all ski tournaments use it, as do pretty much all wakeboard tournaments these days.
If you are handy with tools and have a compatible engine it should be easy to install... give it a day to install plus a day for any sealant on the hull to go off and you'll be set, otherwise have your dealer install it.

Expect about £1k for the system itself plus fitting if required

my dealer wants $1,250 for PP digital and 3 hours labor to install -- so another $250 -- does that sound reasonable....?

I am wanting to get PP installed on my boat as well, so I've been calling around. $250 for labor is about right for most dealers, but you can buy it much cheaper than $1250. Most dealers sell it for $1099. Go to www.skidim.com and you will find it there for $1099. In fact, on Perfect Pass' website it even says that Wakeboard Pro is $1099. I would ask your dealer where they get off charing $150 more than MSRP and direct them to PP's website.

I've read a few threads recently that lead me to think that it's not that hard to install. My boat already has a paddle wheel for the speedo's, so I'm thinking I may be able to tap into that instead of cutting a new hole in my hull. I think that's what my dealer would do anyway. I'm leaning towards buying it from Ski-Dim and installing it myself.

Its very easy to instal, especially if you have the paddlewheel already installed. If not everythign is bolt on w/ the exception of drilling thru the fiberglass to install the paddlewheel assembly.

Would anyone recommend PP Plus for an 18' i/o with a 4.3L Merc? I've been pushing it on my dad lately to let me buy and install it..

I am also not sure why the dealer recommended digital pro vs. wakeboard pro -- looking at DP -- seems like a bit more than what I need....
