hey wakerider, My sis is 11 and she weighs about the same. she is riding a liquid force Mini Squirt 22. the board is great for her. She also has some hyperlite splits on it. I don't remeber spending that much on it. Although the board is 2 years old and so are the bindings. _________________ NOR*CAL |

| if she's just beginning, it's not gonna matter how good the board is. any board from a decent company will hold up well enough. just look for a good price. |

| ya, but if he gets the wrong board for her, thats not right for her when she wants to start learning things, she will have a tough time if its not a good board for her or if its huge or something for her, he should start her out on a decent board thats he can learn from easily, that fits her, and then when she grows out of it in a year or two, replace it with a even better board, but thats just my opinion, i know from experience, you shouldnt have your first boat be a bad board for ya, it will just make it harder to learn new things if its not proportionate to your size and abilities, IMO |

| yeah, don't spend a lot of $, I bought my kiddo a trip 128 for $100.....she rides it great, just get a good board, don't worry about all the "beginner" crap, a child can learn to ride just about any board.....and really a larger board to start with is more stable, just not good for wake jumps.... |
