|
|
First I wanted to thank everyone for the recommendation to offer a black tower. We did our first install today of a black tower and are adding these as an option. We also developed the "Monster Paws" for mounting on curved boat surfaces and they worked out great. One cool thing we learned on the install was there is a new way for the tower to lay down that is much better for inboards, check out the pix below.
Thanks again for your comments.

We sincerely appreciate the comments, the boat is one of the guys that worked on development of the tower and "outboard boy" (me) still has a really nice 1995 Ski Ray with a 1991 - 200EFI outboard for trade for a decent inboard or V-Drive! I'm hoping to ride behind the MB on Sunday or Monday. The "New Monster Tower Boat" is not in the cards yet but maybe someday . . .
I hope to get the model (www.BreanneAshley.com) out again for some photo's soon with some v-drives and inboards, but my better half took a lot of convincing to believe the first shoot was actually us working (like that was a real hard day at work. )
No promises but I'm trying to get the Bud Girls that will be here for a fishing tourney that I am working to do a photo with a Monster Tower We can't afford to formally use it for marketing (ie: pay them) but I will post it if I can pull it off.

Hey Bill:
You guys can use my 1995 Tige as the Monster Boat. Sure... you guys can come up here, install the tower, take some pics, put some stickers on it and voila... I mean it's only a 14 hr drive from where you are...
The black tower looks pretty awesome, and the paws are a great idea as well. Still scraping up money.

Also, wanted fellow wakeboarder.com'ers to know where to save $100 on a Monster Tower, go to http://www.monstertower.com/insideinfo.html and the Monster Tower is $895 instead of the $995 through the normal shopping cart.

yeah... I'm still hoping to get mine this year. I'm getting so excited about this tower, but costs are mounting. Found out that I may need a new oil cooler in the boat, not sure how much that'll be. But in any case, keep up the great work, and eventually I'll be riding behind one I'm sure.

b,
Thanks. I just took those this past Sat. The boat is a 1997 Ski Centurion Bob La Pointe Edition. I love it. As soon as I get the tower I will post detailed pics and if you have any other questions let me know.
Matt

| ah... Bill and I were talking via e-mail about how a tower would mount on my boat, and that he had seen pics before of my boat and he thought it would mount fine. Now Bill's got these 'paws' so I doubt I'll have any worries, but it just would have been great to find someone with the same boat and tower combo as I'd like to have.

| Bill, how difficult is it to completely remove the tower. It would be ideal to have it out of the way when I take the boat out fishing or cruising.

Each of the bases has a bolt that would be removed and the tower could then be removed from the boat. Probably about 5 minutes and the top section and legs weights about 50 lbs so a helper to get it out of the boat would be a good idea.

| Bill, I've been searching for a tower and yours seems like the best value out there. My only hesitation is with your choice of 2-1/2 inch tubing vs. the 2-inch I've seen elsewhere. It seems a bit out of scale -- especially for smaller boats like my 19-footer. I also noticed that some of the board racks won't accommodate that larger diameter (see Fluid's Pitchfork, for example). Can you tell me the benefits of the 2-1/2 inch tubing...added strength, I assume. Anything else?

Larger tubing give you a stiffer tower. The new X-Star is even larger than ours and the trend is to go to larger tubing and rod end bearing mounts (heim joints) to protect the boat as much as possible.
Thanks,
Bill

| Can you post some pics with boardracks installed and maybe even a bimini. Also pics of it folded down with the racks installed would be great also.

I assume you've see what is at www.MonsterTower.com but some may be burried a little. We are a few months from having a Bimini but we all need them for our boats so its a high priority job (my Wife being the one pushing the hardest).
The racks come off quickly so they are not a factor on folding down.
See the images below and give me a call at 877-77Tower anytime. Thank you for your interest.

Very Innovative! I think you have a great lloking tower for an addon and hope it does well! It is also very cost effective which is a great selling point!

Thanks for the great comments! The racks, speakers and lights come from Mako so I want to make sure credit goes where it's due on the racks. Seems like most racks are pretty close in design excetp Nvert and the new X-Star racks but we liked the value of the Mako most of what we could find to fit a 2-1/2" tower.
