|
|
so ive been trying to think of ideas with a slider, since i live in a lake with a no-wake zone, and police patrolling around sometimes, AND the people we rent the dock from wont let us have a slider there.ive come up with a few ideas that involve floating sliders, but that seems like alot of work...plus, a few friends are filming for a local video, and we wanted something kinda cool and somewhat unique. so i came up with an idea.
the dock that i rent has about a 3ft. drop into the water at the end, and is about 50 yds long. we're thinking about building an "in ground" slider at the end of the dock that goes into the water, preferably a long down-rail. then, we were gonna build a long, thin pool that goes to the end of the dock, prbly around 20 yds long. you think this is a good idea?? and how long do you think it'd take, cus i cant really have it in there for more than 2 mornings, or 1 evening and 1 morning... |

hers a pictur, maybe itll help a little bit (ps i did it in liek 5 minuts so dont make fun of me)
no wake zone can suk it and i dont care about it, plus we'll be close to the dock
the pool will be about 8 inches tall, with a tarp (similar to the bump truck in Free 4 All, and alot like the pool in Metronome). |

ohhhhhhh. so you want a removible slider and you want to move the pool after you use it? it seems like making a floating slider would be easier, but if you would rather your idea, then i would say that you can/should try it. and you said your renting the dock? do you mean its someones on the water, and you have a cabin a little ways away from the water? _________________ <CBV>

| well kinda^^. we dont neccessarily want to "move" the slider and the pool, but it will be a temporary thing for 2 days of filming, then we will tear it down. |

Re-Evforce the dock if you are going to build a pool on it. It would suck if the dock fell through. _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |

oh, if your gona tear it down after, i would make it so you can use it for something after. like you can proably flip the pool over, reinforce it, and add some puckboard or whatever they use to slide, and use it for snowboarding and snowskating. same with the slider. i would never build something like that and just throw away afterwords _________________ <CBV>

Instead of building a pool, just go to an army surplus store and pick up some of the big squares of foam and cover them with water, they are as slippery as Bubb Rubb _________________ PICTURE ME ROLLING |

A small kiddy pool would work but Paul-O-Rama's Idea was pretty sweet. _________________

I would just make a floating slider and get a waterproof housing for your camera and you can get some kool shots. _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |
